Everything hurt. Her entire body felt like it was hit by a truck. As Kate slowly began to wake up, every muscle she twitched blew up in pain. Then her eyes opened, her vision was blurry at first, but she could see figures. Pacing, was a woman who seemed to have long black hair. Someone seemed to be talking to her, someone standing still with blonde hair tied back. But there was someone next over her, someone with short red hair. As her vision began to clear, and her hearing returned. She realized that she had no idea who the redhead was. Memories of her attackers came flooding back to her, unknown assailants. Normally, she wouldn't mind meeting a new person, but not right now. Kate began to freak out and tried to scootch away from her, but pain flared up her entire body again.
"Easy, easy." The redhead said calmly. The woman pacing stopped and looked over to her. Kate quickly recognized her mother as well as her physics teacher.
"Mom?" Kate croaked out, trying not to cry."Kate!" Lena yelped before rushing over. She ran over next to the redhead and gently placed a hand on her head. "Oh my god! Kate!"
"Mom, who is this?" Kate asked, eyeing the redhead.
"Oh, this is my sister." Kara spoke up. "Kate, meet Alex."
"Alex?"
"Hi, Kate. I wish we could have met under better circumstances."
"Ms. Danvers? What are you doing here too?"
"I called her." Lena said.
Kate gave her a confused look.
"It's ok Kate. I told your mom that my sister used to be a paramedic before joining the FBI when we met up at the coffee shop."
"Wait what?" Kate asked. "Meetups?"
Lena slightly blushed. "Yeah, we have been meeting up at a coffee shop almost everyday. We have been doing this for a while. Actually after Morgan Edge confronted you."
"That long? Damn."
"I still hate that he did that." Kara said.
Kate looked around, now realizing where she was, on the couch in the living room. She looked around and also noticed she was covered in bandages. More memories came flooding back. Tears began to fill her eyes. When Flash and Tony soaked her with pudding, that didn't bother her. She wasn't upset. A bit pissed that her shirt from her aunt Sam was ruined, but not upset. This was different, a lot different.
"Shhhhhh." Lena whispered soothingly.
"Hey Kate. Could you tell me what happened?" Alex asked, almost seeming like she switched from paramedic mode to FBI mode.
"These two guys, they-" Kate choked. She took a second to catch her breath. "There were these two guys. They were on the subway when I got on. There was someone else, but all of us left at my stop. The other guy walked off before I could. The two guys-" She choked again. "The two guys-" She choked again, struggling to get the words out. Memories hitting her over and over again as she remembered what they did in some sort of hellish loop. "The other guys called my name and then they dragged me back into the subway right as the doors closed."
Tears were already welling up in Lena's eyes, but Kate could see both Danvers getting upset, mostly Kara.
"I tried to fight them off. But one would catch my attack or just step out of the way while the other-" Kate choked again as she began reliving everything. "The other would hit me. I fell to the ground." Kate started hyperventilating. "They! They! They! They!"
"Kate. Shhh." Lena said soothingly, trying to calm down her daughter.
"They began, began to beat me until the next stop."
