Lena wasn't able to sleep much that night. Thoughts of Kara and that kiss kept her up. To the point where she just stopped trying and just sat in the living room instead of her room. She was just staring at the TV, which was currently off. Replaying the kiss and Kara leaving in her head over and over again. Wondering if she did something wrong? If so, what she did wrong. Lena also knew that she would have to collect herself before Kate woke up. She didn't want to put her troubles on her already suffering daughter. But she also wanted to talk to someone about this, but the only people she could think of either just got attacked or was the one she wanted to talk about. Then she remembered someone else. So she grabbed her phone.

"Hello?" Sam Arias said on the other end.

"Hey, Sam."

"Lena! How's it going? I heard about Kate, how's she holding up?"

"As well as you would expect. She ended up having a nightmare and her and I stayed home yesterday."

"Damn. This sucks. I wish I were there to help you."

"No, Sam, you have to take care of Ruby. How is the little one?"

"Great, she misses her aunt Lena and cousin Kate a lot though."

"Well, we miss her too. We really need to meet up at some point."

"Yes, we really should."

"Maybe after Kate recovers more. I'd rather not stress her out more with a trip." Lena said.

"Of course. Now, I know you didn't call me just to talk about plans on meeting up. So, what's up?"

Lena gave a nervous laugh.

"I met someone."

"That's great, Lena! Who are they?"

"Kate's physics teacher, Kara."

"Oh. Well, tell me about her."

"She's wonderful. So patient and kind hearted. When we moved here, she gave Kate all the materials they went over that chapter before we got here. She even gave her some extra work from past chapters that she felt would make that chapter easier for Kate. Then I got to meet her."

"And? Dude, don't leave me in suspense, tell me!"

Lena laughed.

"She's so nice. We ended up getting coffee together most morning before she had to be at school and me at L-Corp. It was wonderful. We'd share each other's past. She's just amazing."

"And?"

"Well, when Kate got home after her attack, I called her."

"Oh damn. You definitely have it bad for her."

"I don't know. During our coffee meet ups,"

"Or do you mean, coffee dates?"

"Shut up. She told me one of her sisters was a paramedic now in the FBI. So she called her sister and both of them showed up. Her sister, Alex, checked on Kate, patched her up a bit. Kara, she was right there with me, trying to help calm me."

"Damn. Maybe it's her who has it bad for you?"

"Well, last night, she invited me and Kate to have dinner with her sisters, sister-in-laws, and her niece."

"Oh. Yeah, she's definitely got it bad for you."

"She said she wanted to check in on Kate with the FBI agent and her therapist wife. But we had so much fun. Kara's sisters teased her because I was able to take some of her food and she ate some of my kale salad."
