Destinee's POV:
I turned to face Colson, completely taken by surprise that he had sat down next to me. I shifted uneasy on the grass, almost afraid to speak. I needed to get a grip....I was sure I was making a fool of myself. Just sitting there staring at him. I opened my mouth to speak and somehow managed to whisper "Destinee."
I smiled slightly as I waited for Colson to reply. I was quickly getting lost in his deep blue eyes. They were like pools of deep water and there was no doubt that I was drowning in them.
"Colson." He said after what felt like an eternity.
"Hi."
I smiled once again, this time much wider. It was nice to finally talk to the guy that for one reason or another caught my eye and wouldn't let go. The only question now was: What made him so different? I couldn't figure it out and it was driving me crazy to be honest.
"So..." Colson said, breaking me from the thoughts I'd been trapped in.
Now I watched as he shifted a little uneasy. Although I wasn't sure what he had to feel uneasy about. A small smile spread across his lips as I waited for him to speak.
"The thing is....well, the guys and I." He said as he pointed to where his friends sat at a nearby table. No doubt trying to listen to what was being said. "We have a show this weekend and I was wondering if you wanted to go, that is if you're not busy." Colson smiled sheepishly and I watched as he rubbed the back of his next nervously.
I sat there silent for a moment, the last thing I wanted was to seem to enthusiast. I ran my hands through the green, newly cut grass and watched Colson from the corner of my eye. He was looking right at me and I knew I needed to give an answer.
"When and where?"
He then gave me all the information, waiting as I wrote it down so I wouldn't forget. As soon as I closed my spiral notebook and placed my pencil back in my bag the bell rung, startling us both.
"Need help up?" Colson asked extending his hand to me.
