Kells POV:
"Just breathe." I thought to myself as I stood on Destinee's doorstep, hand inches away from the door itself. There was no doubt in my mind that I had confused her. I myself was confused. I had so much going on in my head and that kiss a few nights ago had come out of nowhere. How in the hell was I going to explain everything?
I took in one more breath of air before releasing it and knocking lightly on the door. I stood perfectly still as I waited for it to open. The door opened within a few seconds, I slowly made my way inside, careful not to make eye contact with the girl I'd come to see. At lease not yet.
"Why don't we sit." Destinee said softly as she gestured towards the couch.
Still not making eye contact with her I sat and picked at a whole in my jeans, causing them to rip even more. I knew she was waiting for me to speak but right now it was taking all I had to even be sitting here. Given the situation I'd probably be waiting to. I surly wouldn't want to be the first to speak.
I glanced up and searched for the right words. The words that would make everything right in our world once again.
"Look, Destinee." I started. "About that kiss...I'm not saying it was a mistake because I've wanted to kiss you for the longest time." I paused once again in search of the right words. "It's just, I'm no good for you. A girl like you deserves someone who won't push you away when you start to get to close."
What she said next totally took me by surprise. It was the last thing on earth I was expecting her to say. Up to this point I had given her every reason in the world to pull away from me.
"That's a chance I'm willing to take." She whispered as she took my hand in hers.
