Destinee's POV:
Once back home I placed my keys on the small round table by my door and immediately headed for the kitchen, food in hand. Normally I would have eaten while watching one of my favorite shows on Netflix but I had too much on my mind for that tonight.
My stomach growled at the thought of the pasta in the plastic container in front of me when something flashing had caught my eye.
My phone lay on the coffee table exactly where I'd put it earlier. That's funny....had I really left it? I almost never did that. Shrugging at my own question I stood from where I was sitting and walked the length to the table.
A green light flashed indicating I had received a new voicemail. After going through the tedious routine of putting in my password I listened to the voicemail.
Hey Destinee, it's me...I know I'm calling later than you were probably expecting but I literally just got home. Call me when you get this.
Only glancing at my phone after listening to the message Kells had left did I realize how late it was.
"I suppose I should call him back." I said sitting back at the kitchen table and taking the lid off the food container.
"Hello."
Hey, I didn't wake you did I?" I asked quietly on my end of the phone.
"No."
"So...how did today go?"
After about a twenty minute conversation Kells and I got off the phone. Rubbing my tired, no doubt blood shot eyes I decided sleep was in order. I hadn't slept good the previous nights due to worrying about Kells and my bed was definitely calling my name.
