Alistair McClair
After the auction ended, I left to go and pay for the book I bought Calvin. I thought back to a conversation I had a long time ago, where I never really buy Calvin gifts. I've bought him food, and let him have my clothes that one time.
Therefore, this gift can be considered a kind gesture. A way for me to show him that his opinions and words are still taken into consideration by me.
As I returned back to the table, I saw a person sitting on Calvin's left side. Upon closer look, I realized the person was Justin Halls. I've only had a handful of interactions with him, but that's all I needed to determine that he's a man full of himself.
And it didn't help that he's a handsome man. I've seen many men and women flock to him. And thus, he's had a reputation for many one-night stands.
Calvin let out a loud chuckle after Justin said something. As I got close, Calvin looked up at me and waved at me.
"Alistair! Come! Look who I met." He said to me while signaling to Justin.
"Oh, I know you." Justin said. He stood up from the seat and held out his hand for me. I gave it a shake.
"Justin." I remarked.
"You two know each other?" Calvin asked. I quickly let go of his hand and took my seat on Calvin's right side. Justin also sat on Calvin's left side.
"Yeah. We've met each other a few times. Though, Alistair has never really talked to me. Just a 'Hello' here and there." Justin replied.
"Justin was just telling me about his recent trip to the Seychelles. He was talking about the house he bought on the beach side." Calvin said.
"With his parent's money, of course." I muttered. Calvin asked what I said but didn't repeat it.
"Anyways, how do you know Clarence?" Calvin asked Justin. Justin took a large sip of his glass of wine.
"I became acquainted with his son during my time at Columbia University." Justin replied. "And my parents and them also went to Brown together. So, my family and theirs are quite connected."
"Interesting." Calvin said. "I'm gonna go get some food from the snack bar. Alistair, want anything?" He asked me.
"I'm okay." I replied. Calvin then asked Justin if he wanted anything. A smirk came on his face.
"I shall go with you." Justin said. The two stood up and walked through the tables and other people. They reached a far wall, where several tables were lined up with food.
Watching closely, I observed how the two of them interacted. Sometimes, Justin whispered something in my boyfriend's ear, and Calvin would let out a small chuckle. They ate their food and kept refilling their plates.
