Alistair McClair

Monday came by, and it was another day of work for me. After Calvin and I had our nap, I hesitantly returned back to my apartment. Before I left, I stole one of Calvin's shirts as a memento. He did take one of my shirts, I guess it's only fair.

But now I'm wondering if this makes me one of those creepy boyfriends who becomes obsessed with his partner. Truth be told, I'm probably already obsessed with Calvin, and these feelings are only just coming up now.

I also gave the shirt to Luna, so she can get accustomed to the scent of Calvin. If I'm going to accept him as my boyfriend, Luna has to accept him as another slave.

The door to my office opened, and Meredith Chester stormed in with a smile on her face.

"Morning, Alistair!" She announced.

"That's it. I'm calling a locksmith to come and put a damn lock on the door." I said.

"You look happy." She said. I looked at my reflection on my computer screen. I wasn't smiling, just had a neutral expression.

"No I don't." I told her. Meredith took a seat and crossed one leg over the other.

"I'm your assistant. I know almost everything about you. But there's also other clues that give off your happiness."

"Elaborate." I said.

She pointed to my tie. "You aren't wearing a mono-chromatic tie. This one has stripes. Last time you wore stripes was when the deal with that Italian company went through. Next, your hair is slicked back, not a single strand out of place. Which means that you haven't run your hands through it out of frustration.

"Also, the IT department received some doughnuts this morning. I asked the head of the department, and he explained that you just walked onto their floor this morning and gave the company card to some interns. All those signs point to you being happy! Hah! Caught you!"

I let out a giggle. "The IT department had a surplus and the interns voted on doughnuts. My hair is like this because I used hairspray this morning, not gel. And the tie is because my other ones are at the dry cleaners. So no, Meredith Virginia Chester, I'm not happy today." I told her.

"You called me by my full government name. Last time you did that was when we got our first major deal." She clapped back.

I rolled my eyes in a bashful way. "Fine, whatever."

"Was the trip that good?"

"Pretty good." I replied. I leaned in, and she leaned in also. "Calvin and I made out."

"What the fuck! Seriously?!" She yelled. I sat back to get away from her screeching voice.

"Yes, we did."

"Was it amazing and magical?" Meredith asked.

I stared off in the distance and remembered that night. The two of us grabbing one another and our lips crashing against one another. And I wasn't even drunk. It was done without any sort of influence.
