Calvin Fischer
'Just a touch of red here. Mix some of the orange with it to get a brighter shade.' I thought to myself. I fixed my posture by extending my leg off the ladder. Then I went back to painting. This painting should be done in maybe two or three more weeks, at most.
"Calvin!" Someone yelled. I was too engrossed in my painting to look down. "Calvin!" They yelled again.
"Yeah?" I asked, not taking my eyes off the painting.
"You might want to come down here!" I recognized the voice as belonging to Evelyn.
"I'm busy!" I shouted back.
"I'm serious, Calvin." She replied. "Just come down here!"
I huffed and looked down. Evelyn was standing down there with two people beside her. One was a woman with brown hair, styled neatly and slightly curled. Next to her was a frightening man, who exudes complete dominating energy. His eyes, sharp blue eyes, gazed at me. I could already tell that he was judging me.
Something about his face also intrigued me. Not because of how handsome he was, but just something about him. 'Dummy! That's Alistair McClair!' my brain told me. That's when it flashed. This is Alistair McClair.
"Coming!" I quickly yelled upon realizing who he was. I almost slipped but grabbed myself on the ladder. "Sorry for the wait!" I bowed to both of them, Alistair and who I assume is his assistant.
"Uh, Mr. McClair," Evelyn said. "This is Calvin Fischer, the man you want to see." She said. I glanced at her, but she too seemed confused.
"I've been expecting you, Calvin." Alistair said in his deep voice.
"If this is about buying my art, I should let you know that you must contact my boss and a deal will be made." I said. Alistair looked insulted.
"Are you kidding me..." I heard him mumble. This situation was getting tense. I brought my sleeve up and covered one of my eyes. I played it off as something was in my eye.
Alistair turned to his assistant. She just nudged and whispered something to him. The man seemed to be hesitant but rolled his eyes. He finally turned to me. He ignored me rubbing my eyes.
"Will-you-go-out-with-me?" He asked quickly. It almost sounded like he was speaking another language.
"Huh?" I asked.
"I said-" He calmed his voice down. "Will you go out with me?" He asked. When those words left his lips, I froze in my spot. Then, I started laughing.
"Good joke! Did Evelyn put you up to this?" I asked while chuckling. I turned to Evelyn. She was both confused but gave me the signal to cut it out. "Oh, you're serious!"
"Yeah. I am." Alistair said. I brought my hand down and stared at his face. Sure enough, there wasn't any sign that he was joking. He was telling the complete truth.
