As Tommy woke up to the sound of rain tapping against his window, he realized that today was going to be a gloomy day. The pitter-patter of the raindrops was the only sound he could hear, as he lay in his bed staring at the ceiling. For the past few weeks, he had been given the cold shoulder by Dream due to his careless actions.

He had almost gotten them caught by the heroes, and to make matters worse, he had attempted to run away. Dream, had broken him down and convinced him that running away was futile and he would never succeed. However, despite Dream's words, Tommy had been pondering his escape plan for weeks. And today, he felt like he had finally found a way out of the hellhole he was in.

The place where they lived was an old laboratory. It contained various pills and liquids, making it an unusual place to reside. Tommy despised living there, as per his memory. He was aware of this place, and he knew they had transformed him into what he is today. Tommy was born as a phoenix hybrid, and they captured him for his wings and something he couldn't remember. However, everyone claimed that he was unique, and he believed it too.

Dream was not someone to make angry. He had the power to kill anyone, including Tommy, but he kept him alive because he was useful. However, Dream knew that one day Tommy would become powerful enough to take him down. So, he made it his mission to make Tommy believe that he was weaker than Dream, and he succeeded in making the boy afraid of him.

Even though Tommy knew it was a rainy day he couldn't see it as Dream had locked him in a room with now windows due to his anger.(A rubber room. A rubber room with rats. And rats make me crazy. Crazy? I was crazy once. They locked me in a room. A rubber room. A rubber room with rats. And rats make me crazy. Crazy? I was crazy once. They locked me in a room. A rubber room. (I'm sorry😭😭)

Only the gentle tapping of rain could be heard, apart from the obnoxious ticking of the clock.

"I have to get out of here," he told himself. He had stolen Dream's keys two days ago and could have escaped before. He wondered why he hadn't done it already. He stood up, shakily making his way to the door of his cell, which is what he called it instead of a normal room. It was a place where he had been kept for ages.

He held the keys in his hand and inserted one of them into the lock. He knew which one to use as he had seen Dream use it before, along with three other keys. However, there was one key that Dream never let Tommy see, the one for the front door. He left the cell and knew that Dream was likely taking a long nap. He could hear light snoring coming from the other room.
