There I stood, as always, looking up into the sapphire eyes that belonged to Cillian.

I didn't know what he was doing here, and I was too afraid to ask as I opened the door to my trailer without a word, letting him walk inside. He stepped in, walking over to where a small couch was and sitting down, hands folded as he leaned forward, eyes fixated on mine. I breathlessly walked over to where he was, standing in front of him so he had to look up at me in order to maintain eye contact.

His eyes fluttered closed a few times like he was blinking deeply, and suddenly he stood up yet again, hands shoved into his pockets as he began to pace back and forth, without a word. I watched as he walked across my trailer before finally coming back to me, pushing his dark messy hair back from behind his eyes, ruffling it slightly as he looked down at me, lips slightly parted.

"(Y/N)," he finally managed to mumble, his cheeks slightly flushed from what I presumed was nervousness. Nervousness for what? Surely he wasn't nervous to be speaking to me, of all people. I was just (Y/N), not a threat in the slightest.

I watched as he stepped slightly closer to me, closer than what I would've been comfortable with had he been anyone else. His eyes met mine in one of the most intense gazes I've ever had the privilege of witnessing, and I thought for a moment I might fall to my knees.

"You were magnificent today." He finally confessed, exhaling sharply as I felt my shoulders sink in slight disappointment. "Thank you." I whispered quietly, looking up at him almost bashfully. He nodded quickly, looking around as if he was trying to find something to distract himself with. "C-Can I have some water?" He finally stammered. I'd never seen him act so... shy before, it was almost like I was speaking to another person. "Y-yeah, go for it." I answered, stepping aside so he could walk past me and grab a bottled water from the mini fridge in my trailer.

He took a quick sip from the cold beverage before placing it on the counter behind me and looking at me yet again.

"Why did you come here?" I finally managed to breathe out, feeling my nerves crawling up my stomach in the form of rapid butterflies. He let out a bit of a sigh and ran his hand down his face, before meeting my eyes yet again. His lips were once again slightly parted as he whispered his next sentence. "Why do you think?"

I thought my entire body would give out right then and there. I managed to break eye contact as I searched the room for something, anything, to distract myself from. I couldn't even fathom why Cillian would want to be here with me right now. It was inconceivable that he should feel for me the strange feeling I felt for him. It didn't make logical sense.

As if reading my mind, he suddenly cupped my cheek with both of his hands, leaning forward so our noses were almost touching. He trapped my gaze onto him, looking at me as though he would kiss me at any moment. Would I let him? "You deserve to be here." He said firmly, as if he somehow could tell how insecure I'd been feeling since the very beginning of the moment I stepped on set. "You're talented. You're more talented than you think." He said, biting his lip slightly as his thumb moved to slightly graze my bottom lip.

I felt myself tremble. He felt it too, and his hands moved to gently touch my arms. "You're shaking." He said, his voice quieter than before and sweeter. I nodded slowly. "Caffeine." I said, suddenly wanting to slap myself for that dumbass response.

He let out a soft chuckle as he slowly removed his hands from my body; which made me feel suddenly cold and empty without his touch. I wanted to run into his chest, wrap my arms around him, and beg for me to take me right then and there. But I didn't.

"I have to go." He said quietly, taking one last long look at me before leaving as quickly as he had arrived.

What just happened?
