The very next morning was a day off from filming, and before I stepped foot out of my trailer I went out of my way to make sure my makeup looked as divine as possible. I wanted to look pretty. I wanted to look desirable. Not for anyone else but him.
I wondered if he'd even be on set, considering there was no filming today. I walked out, looking around and wondering if I'd spot Cillian reading. I turned the corner and spotted him, sitting on a bench reading, his glasses sitting on the bridge of his nose.
I felt an anxious sort of flutter in my stomach as I attempted to seem nonchalant, not wanting him to know how much the small gestures he did last night affected me. I started to walk past him, when suddenly he cleared his throat, alerting me that he did in fact see me.
"(Y/N)," he said without looking up. His voice saying my name sent a shiver down my spine and I took a sharp inhale before walking and sitting beside him. "Good morning." I said, a small smile on my lips. He snapped his book shut and turned to me, once again catching me off guard with the intensity of his blue eyes. Every time his gaze met mine I felt weak, like I might break. I tried not to make this apparent as I looked back to him.
"How did you sleep?" He asked gently, giving me a small and patient smile. I was surprised at his sudden concern for my well being and nodded quickly. "Good, I slept good. How about you?"
"Fine, thank you." He mumbled, pulling out a cigarette and beginning to light it. I watched, entranced by the smooth movements of his hands flicking against the lighter, and the soft flame that lit the end of his cigarette.
"What are you doing today?" He asked suddenly after a short moment of silence. "Huh? Oh! Nothing." I said a little too quickly, to which he chuckled softly and took another drag of his cigarette. "In that case would you come with me? There's a place I would like to show you." He said, turning to face me. I felt my face heat up at the sudden attention, and before I could even realize what I was doing I was nodding in agreement. "Kay." I whispered softly.
He smiled and reached toward, tucking some of my hair behind my ear before whispering, "Good girl," and pulling away. "I'll pick you up at two." And with that he walked off.
I immediately felt an intense feeling of nervousness flood my body as I attempted to straighten out my thoughts after he pretty much asked me out. It's a date! This is a date, isn't it? My mind screamed at me as I tried to calm myself. I knew my face was likely beet red and I found it incredibly hard to stand on two feet. I wobbled back to my trailer, wondering what I should wear.
After a long time I finally picked out a flattering top and a skirt that highlighted my body well. I did my hair and reapplied lip gloss about five times, and wanted to kill myself when my stomach started hurting five minutes until two.
Dammit! My stomach hurts! I paced the trailer anxiously, knowing I didn't actually need to take a shit and it was likely just nerves. I inhaled sharply, trying to calm myself down as much as possible, to no avail. Cillian Murphy is taking me out. He's taking me out!!
Suddenly the familiar sound of his knuckles rapping against my trailer door greeted my ears and I gave myself one last pep talk before opening the door, feeling my throat dry up when I stood face to face with him.
He was wearing a white button down with a maroon sweater on top of it, his sleeves rolled up so I could admire his veiny forearms. He wasn't wearing his glasses and his raven dark hair was somewhat messy, falling onto his face in a hypnotic way that made me feel weak in the knees. His lips curled into a slight smile upon seeing me as he extended his hand out to me. "Ready?" He asked, to which I smiled and placed my hand in his as answer.
