Macaque was gone every day and that was starting to bother Wukong. Where was he really? And the generals and marshals told Wukong that Macaque had a lot on his mind now that a powerful mortal had appeared and Macaque had to keep an eye on him so he wouldn't cause chaos. Wukong was surprised, because how? How can a mortal be powerful?
It was quite disturbing.
.
Macaque fell onto the bed. This training session with this kid worn him out today, or is he getting old? Or did the kid grow stronger? He rubbed his eyes tiredly.
Next to him lay Wukong, who was reading a book. And he didn't look like he was interested in anything else or pretended to be focused on his book, his expression was serious. Macaque moved closer to him and placed his head on Wukong's shoulder, Wukong moved his head away.
"Hey? What's wrong?" asked Macaque, who leaned over Wukong. Wukong looked at him with a raised eyebrow. He put the book aside and sat down.
-where do you disappear every day?-
"Oh..I..."
-and just don't lie to me. I know some mortal has appeared with some power-
"You know?"
-from the generals-
"Ah. Well, yes. Yes, a certain mortal has appeared with the power to cause chaos, so I prefer to keep an eye on him so he doesn't cause any trouble."
-seriously? Why didn't you tell me? I just had to find out from others?-
"I didn't want to overwhelm you with this."
He moved closer to Wukong.
-Okay, but next time you have to tell me.-
"Of course, Sun." he said with a smile.
.
.
Things got complicated during the new year when the spider queen attacked. Unfortunately, Macaque had to spring into action, because what the hell is the kid afraid of spiders?!
Ridiculous. Worse still, he was cheated, damn him! The worst day of his life. He still had to listen to DBK talking.
"Macaque. Will you explain to me how you came to teach this thief?"
"What can I do... Wukong couldn't take care of him personally."
"Yeah? Him? You clean up after him as usual. I don't understand why you were always around him."
"Yeah? And how can you have such a weak heir? And your wife? Pathetic."
DBK got so angry that he tore the nets.
"Enough."
"Hehe.. DBK I just..."
"I know. Let's get out of here."
.
During this time, the team and Red son gathered the necessary ingredients to create the antidote. And it was also the first time they appeared on a mountain of flowers and fruits, or rather on a beach. The best thing Wukong saw was this. He couldn't see exactly who was there, but he saw that something was happening on the beach. There were no fireworks, there was no Macaque, and the party that took place in the palace was boring. If Wukong disappeared like that, no one would even notice. Intrigued by what was happening on the beach, he decided to leave the palace unnoticed. He was excited. Something was finally happening. He'll just quickly see what's going on and return to the palace, even Macaque won't know about it. He had to hurry up. But Macaque will be pissed when he finds out. Wukong definitely didn't think this through, but consequences he will face later. He reached the place where these beings were. If he could use his powers, it would be easier, but he had to deal with this on his own. He climbed a tree and watched from above, hidden.
"Wow, this is what a mountain of flowers and fruit looks like." Mei said.
"Or rather, the beach." Tang specified.
They took the furnace to the beach.
"Hi? Do you also have this feeling that someone is watching you?" asked MK, who had this feeling, a feeling of some connection with something, or rather someone. Wukong felt it too. Quite surprising. He didn't know who they were, did they have good intentions? They were quite funny. But... wait... they remind him of someone. He squinted, looking at them longer. A pig, a human and such a big blue guy... It's... Impossible... Wukong's eyes widened in fear? He lost his balance. He staggered and leaned back. He needed something to hold on to. He couldn't breathe. Therefore he should not go outside the palace. Great, he's having an attack and Macaque will be furious with him.
Why are they here?! But wait, they only look like pilgrims. It's not them, right? But still... not good. He had to calm down. Inhale and exhale. He leaned even further forward to notice any difference between them. They weren't pilgrims. When golden mist appeared from the furnace, he sneezed, revealing his position, and fell to the ground. Great. MK approached him. And he, well... it looked bad. Wukong stared at the kid with brown hair and the kid at him.
"MK? What's in there?" Mei asked.
"Are you okay? Are you fine?" MK said, extending a helping hand towards Wukong. Wukong assessed the situation, this kid doesn't want to kill him, does he? He grabbed his hand and stood up. They came out of the bushes. Wukong brushed the dirt from his clothes (and he was dressed in elegant hanfu). The team stared at the monkey and Wukong stared at them. He grabbed his arm, it was awkward.
"Uh... were you spying on us?" Pigsy asked.
Wukong chuckled nervously and nodded. Everyone was staring at him, but he could have stayed at the party.
"But why?"
-I was curious- he said in sign language that no one understood. Even more awkward.
"What did he say?" Mei asked.
"I don't think he hears us." Tang said. "It's sign language which... I don't know"
Wukong heard some rustling and shouting from his guards. They were already looking for him. He stared at the forest.
"What does he see there?"
MK looked in the same direction as Wukong and saw a golden vision, saw the guards.
"MK, what do you see?"
"Guardians."
"We have to go! Now." Red said, knowing that the island belonged to his uncle's (Macaque) territory and he wouldn't be happy about it.
"Okay. Let's go." they took the stove with the medicine to the ship.
"So... uh... bye?" MK said and waved to Wukong as he got into the ship. It was nice. He felt nice. It was something new, breaking his routine, and quite depressing. These mortals... were not pilgrims... what were they? Why were they here? And why do they look like pilgrims? Wukong felt overwhelmed by it all. It's too much for one day. The guards ran to him.
"Your Majesty. We were so worried about you."
"Let's go back to the castle."
Wukong nodded. They returned to the castle.
.
Why didn't they recognize him? Hmm... maybe because in all these stories he was described as a wonderful hero, perfect, etc. And here... well... he was miserable, a shadow of his former self. He certainly didn't feel like a hero from years ago. Was he ever a hero?
Plus he has longer hair. And here he was dressed in the traditional hanfu that Macaque had chosen for him.
.
Back to the story. The team defeated the spider queen. Macaque noticed the little girl who was surrounded by a blue mist. This wasn't normal. What if it's her? At first, it's not that he's afraid of this she-devil, but rather of what she might reveal. And some secrets must remain buried.
The girl's blue eyes flashed. It's definitely bad. And he just forgot about her. She's like a damn curse.
Maybe there is a way to get rid of it? He can't let the truth destroy the perfect world he created for Wukong.
.
.
What do you think, how Mac. is conected to "that girl" (yeah. LBD)?
