The next day Michelle found herself sitting in her dining room right under the rays of sunshine that creeped through her bay windows. She tightened her loosely wrapped robe and walked toward the stove to check up on her tea. Lost in the moment Michelle didn't hear the lock on the apartment door unlatch, "Babe I'm home"Calvin projected his voice placing his bags down by the door. The sound of his voice startled Michelle and caused her to hit the kettle. Her reflexes were quick enough to put it back in place. She couldn't believe he was home so soon,it was hard for her to look at him but she didn't want him speculating anything so she said "I'm in the dining room". Calvin walked up and hugged her from behind planting kisses all over the side of her face. In this moment she thought making love to Calvin would further erase the atrocity of last night and that's what she did. In bed now Calvin said " That was different, let's stick to that all the time, almost made me declare "you can have up to half of my kingdom" he laughed. She couldn't help but laugh at his reference. He pulled her in tightly and said " I'm sorry for what happened. I had no peace out here and decided to make my way back home yesterday, as I was led to and I ended up catching a flat, i called you to see if you were able to pick me up and when you didn't answer or call back I decided to sleep at the nearest hotel until the morning. When morning arrived I returned to my car, changed the tire, and made my way back home. I apologize again and let's make sure it doesn't happen again. Broken by those words Michelle weeped. Calvin, assuming their dispute really affected her, held her even tighter and said " I promise I wont allow us to go that far again, may god help us".
