It was the next day, and Carter drove me back to the dorm so I could prepare for my shift. I gave him a kiss goodbye and made my way inside.

Once I got to my dorm, I got changed into my all-black uniform, did some light makeup, and threw my hair up in a claw clip, not wanting to deal with it today.

I had some time to kill, so I continued to write my paper, which was due at the end of the week. After a while, I looked at the time and saw that I should start heading out. I closed my computer, grabbed my bag, and headed out the door.

I get to my car and drive straight to Dunkin' since I have time to kill. I get a large iced coffee. I'll probably regret it later, but at the moment, it is heaven.

I get to work with 10 minutes to spare, so I text Carter to let him know I have arrived at hell.

Brynnley- Hey, I just got to work

He says I must text him when I get here so he knows I got there safely.

I see text bubbles appear

Carter- Good. Glad to know you are safe! I'll pick you up after your shift

Brynnley - But I drove here; what about my car?

Carter - We will get it tomorrow, but I need to see you. I miss you already.

I just saw him an hour ago. This man.

Brynnley - Fine, I'm heading in now, so I'll see you later

Carter - Okay, bye baby

I turn off my phone and start to head inside to start my shift After a while into my shift, the dinner service began. Luckily only a few people came in today, which I am grateful for, but I know Mr. Jones will be in today since he has a reservation for two.

It was around 6:30 when my bartender came up to me, saying she had a family emergency and had to leave.

Dan approaches me

"Hey, you probably know that Melissa had to leave, and I wasn't able to get another bartender tonight, so you are going to have to bartend," Dan says

I look at him with wide eyes. I never bartended a day in my life. Sure, I know how to make some drinks, but I dont know the right amounts and what goes in certain drinks

"Dan, I never bartended before. I dont know what to do," I say, starting to freak out

"It's easy, and you can just google what you dont know. I believe in you," he says, not taking no for an answer
