"No, you cannot taste it yet." Fleur pointed.

"Why not?" Morgan sighed.

"Because I said so "

"But it looks so good."

"Of course it looks good, it's mama's recipe." Fleur hummed.

"Come on, just a small taste?" Morgan tried.

Fleur tilted her head,"Here." Shs handed him a spoon.

"Oh, thank you, babygirl." Morgan hummed.

"How does it taste?"

"Amazing, as always." He told her as he licked the spoon.

"Better be." She winked.

"Trust me, it is."

Fleur kissed his cheek,"I love you."

"I love you too." Morgan kissed her back.

"What time is it?"

"I'm not sure." Morgan turned to look at the clock.

"Make sure Addy hasn't slept in, will you?"

"Of course."

Fleur hummed as Derek walked through to Adelaides room.

"Addy, are you up?" Morgan asked, gently pushing open the door.

Adelaide put her phone down,"Hm?" She looked at him from the bed.

"Just making sure you're awake." He hummed.

"Oh I.. I don't feel well today." Addy coughed.

"Is that so?" Morgan crossed his arms, leaning against the door.

"So so." Addy nodded.

"I'll let your mother know." Morgan nodded slowly.

"Thank you." Addy coughed again.

Morgan closed the door behind him, heading back to the kitchen.

"Is she awake?"

"She is." Morgan nodded,"Said she doesn't feel good."

"She doesn't feel good?"

"That what she said."

"Is it the mysterious cough that happens?" Fleur crossed her arms.

"Y'know, I think it was."

"She wants to skip school to see this boy."

"A boy, huh?" Morgan crossed his arms.

"A boy asked her to homecoming and she said yes."

"What's this boy's name? Do you know where he stays?" Morgan questioned.

"Nope and nope. But you go tell her it's not happening, school comes first."

"Don't need to tell me twice." Morgan headed back to Addy's room.

Adelaide quickly headed back into bed, covering herself up.

"Addy?"

"Yes?" Addy coughed.

"You can drop the act. Your mom told me what you're planning." Morgan shook his head.

Adelaide looked at Morgan, groaning,"Dad."

"School comes before boys, kid." Morgan crossed his arms.

"Not always."

"Most times, including this one."

"Fine." Adelaide got up, already dressed.

"I expect you to tell me all about this boy when you get home from school." Morgan pointed.
