I walked into the cafeteria and walked over to my friends usual lunch table to see James sat with my friends.
I don't mind if he's friends with them at all I just wasn't expecting them to like him this much honestly.

I sat down in the only seat left, next to James as I reluctantly pulled my lunch out to eat when Taylor gave me the stair.
I looked down at my little box of strawberries, blackberries and raspberries and my mini bottle of diet coke and quietly huffed to myself.
Looking at the food made me feel sick.
But I swallowed the lump in my throat and slowly started to eat a few berries.

I struggled with finding foods I could eatI'm crazy about it sometimes, nobody really ever understands when I try t explain it, so I just don't talk about it.
I spent so much time focusing on eating the I hadn't noticed James watching me eating slowly.

I walked down the halls to my last period of the day when I heard my name come over the speakers and I was asked to go to the attendance office.
Grate.

I had never really been good at school, like I tried to behave, but I just wasn't interested in being up at 7am every morning and listening to teachers talk about stuff I was never going to need, and I wasn't one of those kids that had one subject they were good at and the rest doesn't matter either, I just suck at everything and everything is difficult to get through, especially when all your friends want to tell you is to pay attention and get more done but nobody ever listens when you try to tell them about how no matter how hard you try you can't get it right.
So I stopped trying all together, I stopped going to classes, stopped listening to people in general, that's when everyone started thinking I was a sub and I let them.
But really I was just getting lost.

I slowly glide myself round the doorway into the attendance office leaning my hip on the frame.
"Hay Dianna."  The woman says, looking at me with a tight smile.
"Hay miss smith, you wanted me?" I ask walking in.

"Yes uhmmm where did I put it... oh here! I need you to give this to your assigned caregiver please." She says looking through her desk then picking up a yellowish white paper and handed it to me.
"My schedule?" I ask puzzled

"Yea your knew one. As your caregiver it's his job to make sure your in all your classes and pick you up from all of them too. And obviously you'll be but into the trial classes So from now on you will have to wait for him to come and get you from every class." She said giving me a warm smile.

"What! no way, I'm not gonna stand round with my teachers and wait for him at every class." I say, very frustrated.

"I know it's an adjustment especially for you but your going to have to get used to this sort of thing." She said sympathetically.
"And before you think to just not tell him he already received an email about it... and he should be here any minute to drop you off at your lesson."

I immediately turned and started to walk out the room but suddenly James's all to familiar torso and chest  came into view right in front of my face.

"Hey." He said as I took a step back.
I just huffed and started walking to my class, openly annoyed about this knew change.

I heard James shuffle and catch up to me in seconds. "Your lace is undone." He said.
"It's fine-"
James walked in front of me and stopped causing me to nearly come crashing into his chest again before he knelt down and tied my lace for me.

"Thanks" I said as he finished and stood up.
"No need to think me." He said smiling down and me.

I walked around him and walked up the steps to the hallway my class was on.

"So I'm gonna be in the Stevenson gym while your in your class so it might take me a minute to pick you up." He said walking besides me. "And I believe miss smith gave you something for me?"
I handed him the folded up schedule I'm my hand reluctantly. "Your really on-top of all this stuff aren't you." I said with crossed arms.
"That's the way it has to be, he said skimming over the table with his eyes.

With this new rule it meant  it would make ditching class 10 times harder than it already was.
"It's last period you don't need to pick me up." I  said to him.

"Well yeah but I thought I could drive you home and we could talk in the car."
"My friend drives me home every day."
"Not today she isn't." He said giving me a very serious side eye.
"Fine I'll text her." I said shrugging. I didn't really care how or who I went home with anymore I just wanted to go home.

"Your 16 right? Have you not started Learning to drive?" He asked.
"Failed my first test and can't retake it till November." I said, with a big huff, I really wasn't happy and I was very ready to go home and get to sleep.

We started to approach the sports hall and I started going towards the girls locker room when I heard from behind me "behave yourself!" And I instinctively yelled back "not gonna happen.
I pushed the door open and I could hear his deep laugh as I walked in.
