I was sat on my bedroom floor I'm my pyjamas colouring in a picture.
I know that's stereotypically little but I promise it's not because I enjoy colouring, I just find it relaxing, getting to fill in the shapes all neat and tidy, it made me happy.

I was going through my marker box picking out some colours when my phone started ringing

Incoming call from James

"Hello." I said really confused, Why he was calling.
"Hay I was just checking you were okay." He says, and I can hear he's in a bathroom.
"I'm okay." I say Leaning back on my bed frame.
"What are you doing?" He asked and that sent me into a bit of a panic because there was no way I'd admit to colouring.

"Uhh- um, uh- dugs." I saying panicking.
I pressed my head into my hand, out of embarrassment.
Who says drugs? Why would I say that.
"Dianna? Seriously, what are you doing." He said, obviously not believing me horrendous lie.

James

What was she up to that is so bad she wouldn't want to tell me?
I was slightly worried she was doing something dangerous but then I thought about how it was Dianna and that she was probably just embarrassed about doing whatever she was doing, and I have a feeling it had to do with being a little because Dianna doesn't seem shy about a lot, but being a little? She definitely didn't like admitting to it.

"Uhm nothing, I don't know why I said that, I'm really not doing anything, I promise." She says sounding ashamed.
"Dianna whatever it is you can tell me?  I'm not going to make fun of you." I say leaning over and resting my elbows down on my bathroom counter, looking down at my phone.

I heard her let out a sigh before she spoke up again.
"I was colouring..." she said sounding embarrassed and ashamed off herself.
"Dianna there's nothing wrong with that? Why is that a bad thing?" I ask, upset she felt like she had to hide something so sweet.

"I.. don't know.." she said quietly.
"Okay well I think you should go to bed, it's nearly 11." I tell her, trying to chance topics, for her.
"It's only ten thirty, why would I go to bed?" I hear her say confused.

This was an opportunity to test out her boundaries, but I really didn't what her to feel uncomfortable.
"Because little girls need sleep." I say, very carefully trying to test the waters.

I didn't hear anything from Dianna for a few moments and started to get worried I messed up.
"Fine I'll go to bed." I hear her say and a smile spilled over my face.
"Thank you Dianna." I say walking out my bathroom with my phone and crawling into my bed.

I can hear her rustling around and eventually her crawling into bed.
"I'll pick you up tomorrow at 7:30." I tell her, leaning my back up against the headboard.

"That's even earlier than yesterday." She whined and groaned at me
"I know, I know. Goodnight Dianna." I say to her.
"Good night James." She says before hanging up

I was grabbing my stuff when there was a nock on my door.
Swinging the door open I saw James stood there with Derrick behind.
"Ready to go?" James asked and I picked up my bag and walked out, locking the door behind me.
I was far too tired today and I had no clue why, I'd slept so much in the last 2 days.
But
I wasn't tired enough to not think about getting the front seat, so I nonchalantly sped my way down the stairs and out the door to the parking lot.

I stood by the passenger door waiting for James and Derik to hurry across the car park.
"What do you think your doing?" Derick asked, mockingly.
"Calming my rightful spot." I say backing up against the door to block Derik from the handle.

"Ah your rightful spot? 2 days in and your already getting comfortable." Derick said, shooting back at me with more playful banter.

Derick backed down and got in the back while I opened the front door, but had to dibble take when I saw the kids little booster seat. It wasn't a full car seat but i still wasn't sitting in it.

"What are you doing." I said to James, not happy at all.
"Come on Dianna, it's fine just sit in the seat." James said, trying to reassure me but I wasn't playing today, instead I chose to slam the car door shut and go round to the other side and get in the back next to Derrick.

I sat with my arms crossed and heard Derick trying to suppress his giggles.
"Dianna, you could at least try to cooperate." James said, and I could hear his eyes roll.
"No way."

We pulled up to the school and I practically jumped out my window to get out.
Hugging and teasing is one thing but a car seat? Absolutely not.

"He put a car seat in." I whisper to David in home room still fuming he would try that. Especially after yesterday.
"I think he's just trying to make this work Dee? Maybe it's not a bad thing." David whispered back.
"I know he is but it's just all so weird to me..." I say laying my head on the desk and sliding my headphones on.
