I was sat at me vanity slowly taking my time curling me hair when I saw my phone light up with a new message from an unknown number.

"Hay it's James your friend gave me your number, I'll pick you up at 7:45 for school?"

Wait that's only 15 minutes?

"R u insane I Need at least another 35 minutes." I texted back
"School starts in 25 and I don't want you to be late. I'll see you at the front of your apartment in 15 minutes."
"Erm excuse you?" I said at my phone gobsmacked.

I was forced to rush my hair and put on a bit of makeup before putting my glasses and my shoes on.

frantically rushing around i threw a pen and a pencil, some lipgloss with my charger, taser and phone into my little bag before grabbing my keys and heading out my front door and down the 4 flights of stairs till I reached Fourier of my apartments

frantically rushing around i threw a pen and a pencil, some lipgloss with my charger, taser and phone into my little bag before grabbing my keys and heading out my front door and down the 4 flights of stairs till I reached Fourier of my apartments.
I went to open the door and as soon is the air it hit my face I saw the outside for the first time all day.

It was raining.
And not like a little bit, like Noah and his ark were abut to pull up and tell me to get in.
"Absolutely not."

I stood in the sheltered bit of my apartments porch and pondered telling James I was sick and he didn't need to pick me up but as I thought I watched his car pull into the apartments parking lot.
He parked in the closest spot to me but there was absolutely no way I was ruining my hair and shoes just to get to school.

I saw James waving me over from his front window but I stayed there glued too my spot.

"What's wrong? Why aren't you coming over?" James messaged
"I don't want to ruin my hair and shoes."

I could practically hear his laughing from the car.

I saw him open his car door with something in his hand and watched as he jogged up to me,  Already soaking.

I watched as he messed with the thing in his hand and suddenly I realised it was an umbrella.

"Here." He said handing me the opened umbrella.
"Thank you" I say taking it from him, and with a big huff I gathered my hair trying to protect it with my body and slowly stepped out into the rain carefully avoiding big puddles.
James walked beside me in the rain and quietly laughed at my face.
"Why didn't you just bring a coat?" James said as I got in the car and he leaned down to do my seatbelt.
"I didn't have any that matched the outfit." I said matter of factly.
I just forgot one.

James looked at me like I had just said the sky was purple in the winter.
With a breathy laugh he reached behind me to the backseat and pulled out an off white hoodie over and dropped it on my lap.
"That will have to do." James said but it sounded like he wasn't actually talking to me, but to himself.

James ran around the car and sat in the drivers seat.
I watched him noticing that he was not only wear a thick winter coat but also a hoodie.
"Why are you wearing 2 jackets." I asked.

"Cause it went better with the outfit." James said sarcastically like he was trying to sound like me.
"Now put the jacket on." He said staring the car and pulling out of the parking spot.

"I look like I'm not wearing anything under this." I said rushing up the front steps of the school, James trailing behind me.

"I think that says more about your shorts length than it dose about my clothes size." James said, as I pushed the doors open.

"Perv." I said jokingly as I spun round to face him walking backwards.

I headed up the stairs to my home room class, James still following me.
"Don't you have to go to your home room?" I said weaving threw a group of freshmen.

"I'm in your home room." James said catching up to me.
"Course you are." I said opening to door to my class.

"Am I seeing things or is Dianna actually in here on time today." David said from his seat in the second row of the class.

"It wasn't by choice." I say to David, pointing behind me at James who had walked up to my home room leader before sitting in my seat behind him.
We both laughed before I noticed the normally empty desk beside me was occupied by an unfamiliar face.

"Hay I'm Derik." The boy said to me giving me a cheeky grin. "You must be Dianna." He said.
"Yeah." I said confused.
"Dianna this is my friend Derik." James said magically appearing in the seat behind me.

"Nice to meet you." I said with a smile.

I spent most of home room talking to my friends, blocking out James.

I know I'm a little, but I don't like other people knowing I'm a little, and I especially don't like that James wants to treat me like one, although, I am surprised by how slow he's taking it.

James

I know this is going to be hard for Dianna, I did the classes when I got my classification, we learned about how some littles take more time, and how some were more open than others and It didn't take a genius to know Dianna was going to be a hard nut to crack.

I can't lie and say I'm not sad I won't get to do more fun stuff sooner but I needed to take things slow.

I watched her as she laughed with her friends and how her eyes lit up listening to people.
She was like a sunshine magnet, drawing in everyone's attention as she spoke.

"Dude I know you like her but stop staring." Derrick nudged me, causing me to slip out of my haze.
"It's like you pave hot baby fever or something." He said laughing.

"Shut up." I said playfully.

"What's your first lesson?" Derick asked, as he looked over his schedule.
"Intro to regression." I say giving and knowing look to Derrick.

"Uh oh, everyone knows that's not going to go well." He say's laughing at me.
Derrick is a caregiver too, but he's still waiting for his little to meet the age requirement to know.

"I'm gonna remind you of your laughter next month when this is you." I say with my head in my hands.

The first regression class never goes well, doesn't matter how well adjusted the little is. It always gose to hell.
