Chapter 5

It was the end of class and I walked out of the class looking for James

"DEE! Do you wanna do something fun!" I looked down the left of the haul at one of my friends Bella running at me yelling then stopping right in font of me.

I could see James from behind her looking at us as I listened to Bella's idea.
Bella was the only other identified little in the group and one of my closest friends, she had the most gorgeous long red hair and was always wearing yellow.

"What did you have in mind? I ask with a cheeky smile.
"It's been a while since we all hung out at the lake and since it's starting to heat up now would be soooo perfect." She said clapping her hands together with a big grin.

"Well it has been ages..." I say mock thinking with my finger on my chin before looking Back at her with a big smile.

Every summer we all made it a thing where we went to an almost hidden lake by laylas house and spent the evening under age drinking and messing around playing football and hide and seek and some of them would swim in the lake and jump in swinging off a make shift rope swig.

"All right! I'll text the group chat. Bye Bella!" I said seeing bella's dom approaching. He annoyed me a lot, especially after he tried to "daddy"me a few months back, when I got in trouble at school.

I could see James stood staring directly at me waiting.
"Hay" I said approaching him, as fast as I could.

As we approached his car he pressed the button on his keys opening both doors and gestured for me to get in and as I did he leaned down and pulled the seatbelt across me.
"I can put a seatbelt on myself." I said crossing my arms.
"I know you can." He said clipping it in "but let me help." then he shut the door and headed around the car.
"It's apartment 7 on woodcands stretch?" James asked as he was pulling out the school parking lot.

"Yeah it is- wait how'd you know that?"
"I did a bit of internet stalking." James said with a sheepish laugh.
"Why did you speed off when that guy came up to u and that girl?" He asked as we headed down the rode.
"He's..um, he just treats me weird." I say, trying to explain it.
"Weird how?" James said in a jokey way, clearly taking it as me just not liking him.
"He once's tried to tell me off like I was his little. But I'm not...so I didn't like it" I said playing with my hands.

James never really said anything after that, only humming in response.

We slowly pulled into my apartment complex and pulled up at my apartment building

"You live alone?" James asked getting out the car at the same time.
"No I live with my brother." I say walking up the stairs to the main door then into the little lobby area.

"See ya James" I said about to walk up the stairs.
"Bye Dianna." James said walking out the door and back to his car
