"Yeah like that."
"I'm not sure." I hear Dianna say, making my heart hurt a bit, but I had to recognise that I hadn't really known her for long and she needed some stability- like her home, to stay stable while she had such big changes going on around her.

"That's okay, we can take all the time you want, we could just start off with leaving some clothes here, and maybe staying over a few nights." I say quietly while rubbing her back.
"Okay.."
I can here that she's not totally sold on the idea and it confuses me a little.
I know it's different and I know she'd be nervous but I felt like I was missing something.

"Is something else wrong Dianna?"
"I don't like leaving my teddy's alone at night." She said, quietly against my shoulder and I think I felt my heart breaking for her.

She's so unbelievably perfect
"Anna you can bring them here." I tell her holding her a lot tighter.
"Is that why you left like you did the first night?" I ask her and I feel her nodding.
I now felt bed for telling her off, for leaving that night.

It made a lot more sense now.

Dianna

"Derik gets his little today" James told me on are way to school this morning.
"Poor girl." I said looking out the window.
James had to drag me out of bed this morning because of how late I got home last night and I was not in a good mood.
James picked My outfit and I just wasn't feeling very confident today.

"Is she in are school?" "She's moving here so yes""There making her move?" I ask confused, turning to James

"Is she in are school?"
"She's moving here so yes"
"There making her move?" I ask confused, turning to James.

"She lives across the country so she kind of had too." James said, as we pulled into the school.
"How come he isn't moving? Isn't that what normally happens? Isn't that what you did?

"Her living situation wasn't...ideal so the state said that it was better if she just moved here."
"Oh."
I knew what that meant, she was either homeless, in foster care, or an abusive household. It would have had to have been bad enough for the state to say moving her out would have been easier on her.
Which is never good.

"Can you make friends with her? Or at least try. Toney, Ashley, David and Taylor are at a different school for a football game, so your all she's really gonna get." James said as we sat in the car, a little earlier for school than normal.

"Sure- oh my god" I started, seeing Derik and the girl out my window.

She was kicking and screaming.
Derik had her thrown over his shoulder, as they walked are way.
"She seems fun."

Me and James got out the car as Derik reached us, and the girl had stoped screaming and Derik slowly put her down.

With his hands on her shoulders Derik put her in-front of himself showing her off. "This is Lizzie."

"Hi Lizzie" me and James said together, and I looked the girl up and down.

At least she looked cool

At least she looked cool.

"Okay let's go." James said and he started walking along with Derik.
"Nice shoes."
"Nice jacket." She said as we walked together and I hug back slightly, pulling her with me trying to put distance between us and the boys.

"So Lizzie, how's it been today." I ask half sarcastically, already knowing it probably wasn't going well.

"Derik is an ass."
"Right!" I said and we both giggled a-bit.

She seemed nice enough, and I knew she was nervous.
I also knew she was about to be thrown into a into to Regression lesson first period, so the girl was in for a pretty rough day.
"Listen your really not gonna have fun first period, and I figured I'd let you know now so you weren't thrown in like me."
"What's first period?-"
"Anna." James said cutting her off obviously overhearing the conversation, walking back and pulling me away and into home room while Derik and Lizzie went to the office.

"You can't do that, Dianna. Derik has to do that, let Derik help her." James said as we sat down, him sitting in David's normal spot.
"Why? Why not warn her?"
"Because Derik is her caregiver. He needs to help her, he has to step up and learn for himself, and ig he doesn't warn her, it will be a learning experience."
"At her experience?"
"Derik will warn her." James said, putting his hand on my shoulder. "He learned from my mistake. He will tell her. Now show me that math homework you we're having trouble on." James reassured me, then changed the subject, holding his hand out for the work.

James is good at being a caregiver. He was giving me space to slowly express the little in myself, instead of trying to squeeze it out and I was thankful for that.

All caregivers go through training and classes before having access to there little, but even with the training it just seemed like his was natural for James, like the care just oozed through him.

James pulled my chair towards himself and put his massive arm around me, putting the paper in-front of me and explained it, but I was just looking at him.
He's a very handsome guy, and incredibly smart.
I felt very lucky.

"Focus Anna, I'm trying to help you your just starring at me."
"Your pretty.
James laughed not taking me seriously, almost blowing it off.
