The Lake Country of Naboo was beautiful that time of year.

We had spent about two years following Exegol galivanting around the galaxy being a general nuisance to anyone we could find. We served as transporters mostly... Maybe smugglers, but I'll never own that officially.

I even did the Kessel Run. The Milennium Falcon still holds that record, sadly, but I did it.

With a hold full of freed Wookiee slaves that made it back to Kashyyyk in one piece. May or may not have had some help from my brothers on that one.

The swoop racing...? Yeah... I had that dream since I was a kid and I wasn't about to let anyone stop me from dominating the Corellian Circuit under an assumed name. I think I did a pretty good job.

Needless to say that when I received that invitation from Shenna, I certainly wasn't going to say no. Thesh had been keeping me in the loop about her and Jag's whirlwind romance that was driving him absolutely insane. I personally thought that the whole thing was beyond hilarious, but then again, I'm just the cool uncle-godfather. However, as much as he would have rather died than admit it, I knew that he couldn't have been happier for her if he tried.

Jag's estate was beautiful, and adorned with all of the finery of a wedding right on the lake shore, I don't think it could have gotten more picturesque if they attempted to make it that way. We got there late and settled in at the back, me, Nyra, and Sevens, all dressed up and admiring how beautiful Shenna looked, her hair done up in those Alderaanian braids, beside Jag who was shaping up to be quite the gentleman himself. They exchanged their vows and got married right as the sun was setting, their kiss causing and eruption of raucous cheers from my old squad and the Wraiths who had come from all corners of the galaxy to partake in what was sure to be a somewhat wild party as the evening dragged on.

I waited for the families to finish their congratulations before walking up to Shenna, whose eyes widened in surprise before she broke away from her entourage to run and jump excitedly into my arms. "You came!" She laughed as I spun her around and planted a kiss on her cheek.

"I wouldn't miss it for the world," I laughed as Brea ran up and hugged me, followed closely by Thesh.

It was a little bit of normalcy for my last night around.

Peek gonked as we all gathered around the Summa's holocomm table to find images of Khomo and Talen waiting for us. They had pulled their ships up alongside of ours and were putting in the coordinates for our jump to Copero.

"So, the Summa is going in first, right?" Khomo asked to clarify, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Yes. Dorn is the one with the invite, after all." Talen nodded and turned to me with an easy smile.

"You two don't have to do this," I laughed as Khomo snorted and waved me off.

"And let my ori'vod go off and fight some unseen cosmic horror alone? Yeah, no. Not a chance. The sons of Kando Ordo stay together when we go to war. No exceptions."

"Guess there's no talking you out of this," I smiled at them with a nod, "we jump in ten minutes."

"Sounds good to me."

"Jate!"

The images faded away and I joined Sevens and Nyra in the cockpit, sitting back in my seat as Peek finished calibrating our jump trajectories based on the old data that Inraas had given me in what felt like another lifetime at that point. It was exciting, this new journey of ours, and as I looked back at the two of them, joking as they finished up their pre-flight checks, I couldn't help but smile to myself.

Everything in my life had led me to this very moment, and it just felt right, somehow.

"Ready to jump?" I asked as I looked to Sevens.

"On your orders, captain," he smirked at me as he looked over, prompting Nyra to snort out a laugh and Peek to gonk excitedly on the floor beside me, wobbling happily.

I reached forward and pushed her hyperdrive accelerators, making the stars begin to stretch before us until we snapped into a hyperspace lane.

This was where I needed to be. No doubt about it.

My name is Dorn, and for the first time, my life is my own.
