Chapter 11: Past

Third Person's POV

As the meeting comes to an end Chaeyoung bid goodbye to Lisa.

"Call me about what happened Chaeyoung-ah," Lisa said worriedly.

"I will, Lis be safe on your way home," Chaeyoung said to her and also bid goodbye to Lisa's father.

Jennie waited patiently as everyone exited their way until she felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked up and saw her father.

"You better know what you're doing," Mr. Kim said to her daughter but Jennie only nodded and bid his father goodbye.

The room was now empty with only two strong females sitting in front of each other. The room was filled with silence, Chaeyoung was letting Jennie speak first for her to make a plan.

"Well, Ms. Park since I invited you to this private meeting of ours, it's predicted that I should start the proposal first-" Jennie stated as she put her hands together.

"Ms. Park? Come on Jennie you know me better than that, call me whatever you want since it's also the two of us here" Chaeyoung smugly said to Jennie but Jennie remained unfazed.

"Well then if my guest insists, you don't have to think about it anymore idiot because you have no choice but to say yes"

Chaeyoung was annoyed other than the name she called her but how she kept on insisting on the proposal.

"Ha, you must be so stubborn Jennie I told you that I won't-"

"You must be the one stubborn since this is also an agreement of what that best friend of yours said to me" Jennie cut Chaeyoung off.

Jennie then stood up and closed the blinds to give them privacy and walked slowly to Chaeyoung like a cheetah hunting for prey.

"And as you know, if you said yes maybe who knows Park Spectra can also succeed in other companies and make a great profit from our collaboration" Jennie sat on the table and looked at Chaeyoung.

"But if you said no, you still can't refuse my offer because instead of Lisa paying me back I decided the blame is on you," Jennie said as she held Chaeyoung's chin to face her and smirked. 

Chaeyoung then suddenly grabbed her wrist and said.

"It's no use in blackmailing me love," Chaeyoung said as she stood up and went closer to Jennie cornering her.

Jennie widened her eyes because of the nickname Chaeyoung said and Chaeyoung caught her reaction and decided to tease her more but before Chaeyoung could continue her sentence Jennie also caught her off guard.

"That's right, it's no use because your company's future depends on it," Jennie said confidently to Chaeyoung.

Chaeyoung looked down on her and noticed Jennie's beautiful details.

"You're so beautiful" Chaeyoung whispered to herself hoping that Jennie didn't hear anything, but she did.

"Is this your way on an agreement? You must be out of your mind risking my company is a serious issue and because of what? because of last night? Oh, Jennie, you must be risking your reputation" Chaeyoung said seriously to Jennie their faces inches away Chaeyoung then let go of Jennie's wrist.

"I'm already out of my mind since someone left me in the dirt to suffer a long time ago," Jennie said bitterly to Chaeyoung in front of her.

Chaeyoung then backed away from Jennie hearing those words coming from her mouth that were shocking to her.

"You don't understand what you're saying," Chaeyoung said coldly as she leaned on the glass wall.

"I know what I'm saying idiot, you must have the audacity to chea-" Jennie said but cut her own words remembering everything of that night when Chaeyoung did her dirty.

In the past...

"How could you Chaeyoung! I trusted you, you have the audacity to cheat on me and your reason is because you were drunk?" Jennie shouted at Chaeyoung pushing her harshly.

"You don't understand Jen, it's a misunderstanding! Why can't you trust me and let me explain?" Chaeyoung pleaded to Jennie as she touched her but Jennie whacked her hands off her arm.

"Leave" Jennie faintly said.

"What? Can you just let me explain?" Chaeyoung again touched her.

"I SAID LEAVE PARK CHAEYOUNG! I DON'T NEED YOU HERE!" Jennie shouted at Chaeyoung and with that it made her leave. Jennie then broke into tears.

In the present...

"Ehem, you have no other choice Ms. Park this is the consequence of last night, you can't do anything to avoid this issue. I'll meet you again when you're ready to sign the papers, goodbye Ms. Park" Jennie said and proceeded to exit the meeting room.

And as she was about to leave Jennie said

"And it's also too late" 

Chaeyoung was left alone in the meeting room silence engulfing the atmosphere with Jennie's last words ringing inside her head.

You still don't understand everything Jen and nothing's too late.
