Flashback from last night
"Why do you you call me Angel?"
I bite my lip while waiting for his answer
He just shrugs "I'm not sure to be honest"
I smile "okay then"
"How's the tattoo and piercing healing?"
"Perfect I love them both"
He reaches over the table and grabs my hands
"I'm glad"
....
We finished up dinner and we were walking hand in hand out of the restaurant
"Do you want to sleepover tonight?" Kane ask
"I wish I could but I have a midterm tomorrow" I say while frowning
He nods and round the car to open the door for me
"Thank you"
Just as I think he is gonna kiss me
he leans in and buckles my seatbelt instead
I blow out a long breath when he closes the door and gets into the drivers seat
"Thank you for dinner Kane"
He puts his hand on my thigh and rubs in circles
"Anytime Melody"
After about 10 minutes of driving In silence we finally pull up to the apartments
"Bye Kane " I whisper quietly as I open the car door
I walk to the entrance slowly in hopes that he will jump out of the car and kiss me like they do in the romance books I read
But nothing happens
