Darrow is chosen 10/1000. We, as readers, know he is special. Now they know as well. Will this be bad for him in the future? If he stands out too much, attracts too much attention, it may make him a target. How long can his charade be kept up?
This feels like a college entrance exam, but far more cutthroat. I don't trust anyone in his House. They analyze every movement, expression, accent, word.
I thought Part 2 would have ended when he entered the Institute. He hasn't entered, not until the end of chapter 19. After that, he has truly been accepted.
