"Holy fuck-" Justin spat the words out before she could even think, putting her hands forward against the seat in front of her. "Nancy did you ever learn how to fucking drive?" She seethed.
"Nope." Rylie responded from her spot next to Justin, sitting up impeccably straight with one leg crossed over the other. The girl was sitting next to Rylie, the one that Justin had learned was named after a number. . .which one? She couldn't remember, but one of them. Maybe Six? No. . .that wasn't right. Four? No. It was definitely more than four. Was it even an even number? Twelve? Eh, good enough.
"You drive like a maniac." Justin huffed as they finally came to a stop in the Holloway's driveway. All nine of them made their way to the Holloway's front door, Nancy pressing the doorbell softly. When that didn't work, she pushed it again. And then she turned to look at Jonathan, before turning to look at Twelve. "What's she doing. . ?" Justin asked haphazardly as the brunette's face grew angry looking. She got no response, Twelve only nodded and the front door to the Holloway's house burst open with a crash. "Holy fuck-" Justin stumbled back slightly with wide eyes. "What the-"
"You'll get used to it." Rylie sighed tiredly before walking past Jonathan and Nancy and into the home.
They all followed, Nancy calling out a shaky 'Tom' into what seemed to be an empty house.
"You know he doesn't like you, right?" Justin asked with a brow raised. "Breaking into his house isn't gonna make that any better." She saw Rylie smile at her comment and couldn't help but scoff.
"Heather?" Nancy called again, ignoring Justin's words.
"Jesus, it's freezing." The redhead murmured to Twelve. The group of them continued through a hallway until they reached a small room.
"Do you guys smell that?" Nancy asked, turning to the children that they had brought with them. Why? Justin couldn't tell you. Nobody would answer her question on it. The five kids smelled the air.
"Oh-" Nancy brought her hand to plug her nose. "Oh, god-"
"Is that. . ." Rylie trailed off.
"Bleach. And other such cleaning supplies." Justin frowned. "Like Mrs. Driscoll. . ."
They walked further into the kitchen. The fridge was on its side, lying on the floor with the top missing and the back ripped in half. "What the hell. . ." Rylie whispered, looking at the mess.
Jonathan picked up a can of Ajax cleaning powder, looking at the blue container. "You think they're guzzling this shit?"
"Yeah, either that or they just went on a hell of a cleaning spree." Nancy returned.
"Obviously they're eating it." Justin scoffed, noticing a bite mark in the cap of a Clorox bottle.
"But last year, Will didn't eat chemicals." The redhead spoke up. "Did you?"
"No." Will shook his head softly.
Justin turned around, ruffling Will's hair. "Good job kid, you're not a freak." She gave him a sarcastic smile as he shoved her hand away.
"This is something new." Will continued.
"Mr. Clarke, fifth grade. Posit. What happens when you mix chemicals together?" Mike asked.
"Oh boy, they're speaking in riddles now." Justin huffed, turning over her shoulder to see Rylie in a completely different room.
"You create a new substance." Lucas and Will said in unison. Justin left them, walking around Nancy and toward Rylie Watson.
