3rd POV

In the Cardinal World of Tensura, just a few moments before Rimuru's arrival, everything was as normal as possible for it's inhabitants. However, it would not remain this way for much longer. Suddenly, the True Dragons, Awakened Demon Lords, and True Heroes would hear something completely unexpected. Something that would terrify and confuse many of these beings, while it would excite a few others. A singular voice that every person knew, even if they had never heard it personally before.

Guy POV

It's been an average day here on the Ice Continent. There's not much to do other than laze around and have Misery and Rain makes snacks. Even that gets old after so many thousands of years. I haven't even had a decent spar with anyone since Milim went out of control a couple thousand years ago. It is truly a boring existence. But that all changed very quickly when I heard the VOTW speak to me for the first time in a VERY long time.

<<Report. Veldanava's Successor, the True Dragon Lord of the Void, has arrived in the Cardinal World. Welcome home Lord Rimuru.>>

I sat there, stunned into silence while trying to process what I had just heard, for what felt like hours, but was really only about 25-30 minutes before the doors to the throne room were thrown off their hinges as Milim came charging into the room. Velzard was quickly following behind her with a look of annoyance on her face as she began to chastise Milim's disregard for other people's things. Rain and Misery were also silently behind them both, a slight look of confusion crossed onto their faces as they tried to figure out why Milim had suddenly just teleported into the palace unannounced.

"Guy! Guy! Guy! Did you hear that just now noda!??" Milim shouted breathlessly at me. Not that she needed to breathe, she was just too hyped up to calm down. I just sigh and respond, "So you heard it as well Milim? What about you Velzard?" Milim just nodded rigorously in response while she continued to jump around, unable to contain her excitement as we moved towards the balcony to sit and talk. Rain and Misery began preparing some tea for us as we took our seats.

"I did as well. It would appear we weren't the only ones either." Velzard's response was calm and measured as always. However, what she had said had immediately grabbed my attention. "What do you mean?" I questioned her again. "In the time it took Milim to get here, I had a conversation with my sister and she confirmed that both her and Rudra had heard the announcement as well. However, it appears that no one other than them in the Eastern Empire heard it," she replied.

"I can't believe that my father had a successor this whole time noda!!! Aunty Velzard, did you know about this??" Milim suddenly interjected, finally settling down enough to carry out a conversation. "Hmm, no I can't say I have," was the reply given to her. I, however, couldn't help but notice the trace of a small smile grace her lips and the flash of excitement in her eyes as she said this before returning to her normal expression.

'Oh?? She definitely knows something about this. I wonder what it is and why she won't say it. There's no use in trying to pry the information out of her though if she doesn't want to talk about it. She's easily one of the most stubborn people in this world when it comes to things like this,' I thought to myself. "Can either of you 2 pinpoint where this 'Lord Rimuru' is? So far, I haven't been able to feel any kind of massive aura one would expect from Veldanava-sama's successor." I asked them both, as the True Dragon race could instinctively sense one another, regardless of whether they hid their aura from each other or not.
