Velzard POV
As Rimuru was finishing up chewing out Guy, I couldn't help but feel a whirlwind of emotions. What he had said may have been directed at Guy, but the last part about my niece Milim, applied to all of us. It was tough to hear it from someone who wasn't there and didn't know what we were going through at the time, but that doesn't make it any less right. We might have lost a brother, a friend, and a mentor, but she had lost her parents; the 2 people closest to her while we did nothing except withdraw from (or in Veldora's case, destroy) the rest of the world to cope with the loss. It was almost unbearable, to the point where I was ready to raise my own voice in our defense. But I never got the chance as a few more fragments of some memories began to surface once more.
The memories this time were from the night of Milim's birth. Nothing truly substantial, just a small part of the time I had spent with Veldanava-nii after he had become absolutely wasted on the fine liquor Rudra had brought as a congratulatory gift. I saw myself sitting on a couch across from my brother as he leaned back semi-sleepily in his chair, exuding a merry air as he carried on cheerfully in his drunken stupor from celebrating. Veldanava-nii had begun muttering to himself for several minutes before I decided that he had had enough to drink. As I was about to get Lucia to help him to his room, he said something that caught my attention.
"I can't wait to see the look on that bastard's face when he sees what I've got in store for him. That'll teach him for making my adorable daughter love him more than me and marrying my cute little Velz-..." He slumped forward slightly as he finally dozed off before he could finish his sentence. I was surprised by what he was saying, but before I could do anything else, the memory faded and I returned back to the present. The memories had lasted for several minutes, but virtually no time had passed on the outside. 'This is the second flash of memories I've just suddenly remembered out of nowhere. Both times have been about memories of Veldanava-nii... Could he have blocked these specific memories for a reason?? But if he did, why are they coming back now?' I contemplated to myself for a moment before shaking my head slightly and pushing those thoughts to the side as I refocused my attention back to the conversation at hand.
I turned my head to look at Rimuru, whose attention had now shifted from Guy to Rudra. I was somewhat shocked by what I saw. His face had remained calm and collected on the outside, but deep in his eyes I could see the rage of someone who had suffered greatly. It was truly strange though, it wasn't the kind of rage that came from personal suffering, but the absolute abhorrence towards someone who had caused the suffering of a loved one. It wasn't something completely foreign, but it definitely wasn't a sight I was used to. The last time I'd seen something like that was the incident of Milim's rampage. 'I doubt he's gonna get off as lightly as Guy did.'
I turned to look at my little sister to see how she was preparing to respond to what was about to happen. To my complete surprise, she was calm; completely and utterly calm. As if she had already accepted what was about to occur and knew what was about to be said. Her demeanor was almost akin to someone who agreed with what Rimuru was about to say. This development was nothing short of astonishing to me. 'Isn't she obsessed with Rudra more than anything??? How can she sit there so calmly and not get angry on his behalf like she normally would??' As I was thinking this to myself, Rimuru began to speak once more. "Now then, HERO, I think it's high time you're brought back down off of your high horse and you face reality."
Rimuru POV
As I began speaking to him, Rudra flinched ever so slightly as I spat the word HERO at him. My disdain for Rudra, if hadn't been already, was made very clear from the moment I began to speak to him. "Most of my issues with you are the same as with Guy, although your transgressions are by far worse than his. I should have you sentenced to the total erasure of your soul for the numerous crimes you've committed against the Cardinal World and it's people." My words drew an instantaneous reaction from everyone present. Guy, Velzard, Veldora, and other 4 Primordials mouths opened slightly in complete shock (albeit Diablo with a somewhat surprised grin). Rudra's eyes widened as he began to turn as white as Testarossa's hair from fear as he turned his head slightly to observe Michael behind him. Even Ciel seemed slightly surprised by my words, much to my own confusion.
