Continent's Wrath - Title

Guy POV

After seeing Veldanava again, and hearing him call out to me with a bright smile, only a single thought passed through my head: 'This fucking shithead. Acting all happy and innocent after pushing all his work and problems on me! Especially this damn nuisance of a former slime!' Immediately after these thoughts, I blitzed the lovable idiot, attempting to give him a piece of my mind while his hands were full hugging his sisters. Unfortunately for me, it went about as well as the last time I had tried. Barely moving at all, he slightly moved his left wrist away from Velgrynd's back, and fully stopped my blow once again with a single finger.

"Now now Guy, is that anyway to treat me after not seeing me for 2,000+ years?" Veldanava's voice rang out with a loud laugh at my actions. Before I could say anything in response, I felt a chill run down my spine unlike anything I'd ever felt before. Velzard and Velgrynd were giving me an absolutely MONSTROUS death glare, warning me to back away immediately. I complied without hesitation, not daring to push my luck further. After I backed away, they both lost interest in me and went back to paying attention to Veldanava. I just sighed heavily and went back to my seat. This entire time, Rimuru had been sitting back in his chair, enjoying the entire scene as it played out.

I held my hand to head as I nursed a headache that I shouldn't even be able to have. Several minutes passed before Velzard and Velgrynd would return to their own seats. They then began to question Veldanava about why he hadn't returned sooner and where had he been. His answers left everyone shocked; minus Rimuru, Veldora, and the silver-haired girl. He explained to us how he couldn't return after his death due to a few different factors: his loss of power due to Milim's birth, coupled with his violation of his own law set into the VOTW about God loving all equally, and finally the guilt and shame he felt about not being able to save Lucia from death. All of these culminated in him being virtually trapped in the Void, still able to observe his creation, but unable to interfere any longer.

His return was due to him conceding his dragon factor and core to Rimuru, proclaiming him his successor, and turning his essence into a skill to be used by Rimuru, thus making him a Manas. The term Manas confused us, but he elaborated further and told us that Manas were a unique race unlike anything else. They were Ultimate Skills that had formed the basis of an ego and their own wills and emotions, turning the skills themselves into almost useless husks of information. They could be considered as the ultimate digital life forms: a race that had fewer members apart of it than the True Dragons, but we're just as if not more powerful than them. Although there were only 4 known Manas, 2 of them were anomalies and could be considered "Incomplete Manas". A "Completed Manas" could directly interfere with Information Particles, the very building blocks of existence itself as easily as one breathes. Whereas an incomplete Manas could not fully do this.

As I tried to wrap my head around all of the information we were being given, I turned my head and locked eyes with the silver-haired girl. For the first time in my life, I felt like I was someone else's prey. An absolute existence that viewed everything else as nothing more than experiments and data. I spoke up, directing a question towards both Rimuru and Veldanava. "This girl here, she's a Manas, isn't she?" My question wasn't answered by them, but instead by the person in question. "That is correct. I am Ciel Tempest, the 2nd oldest Manas and the first complete Manas." Her words created a palpable tension in the air that lasted for a few moments. "And if I may ask, what skill were you born from Ciel-san?" Velzard suddenly spoke up, curious as to the girl's origins.
