Rimuru POV

After realizing Kaijin and his brothers were already in the room and waiting on my return, I pushed my thoughts away and apologized for the late appearance. Kaijin just laughed it off and told me that it was no big deal. As I went to take my seat on the sofa across Kaijin and his brothers, Testarossa immediately tried to stand up and take her place behind me. I just motioned for her stay as she was while I took a seat next to her. I did my best to not make eye contact with her as I sat down next to her, still slightly unbalanced from the revelation I had received earlier.

She seemed confused by my behavior and continued to insist upon not sitting on the same sofa as me. I sighed and just let her do as she pleased, unwilling to argue with her decision. I turned my head towards Kaijin once more and asked him about the purpose of his visit. "Well Rimuru-sama, me and my brothers have thought over your proposition and, if you're willing to have us, we would like to accept the offer to serve under you." My mood instantly brightened at his words. "Of course I would be more than willing to have you! You are the best at your crafts after all!"

My words of praise seemed to cause some slight embarrassment amongst the 4 of them once again. They seemed to be relatively overjoyed at the opportunity to come to our soon to be budding nation. However, I felt I should clarify some things before we left tomorrow. "I hope you guys don't mind too much, but there won't be a lot to do at first, as there won't be many people at our city-site for a coup-." Ciel interrupted me midway through my sentence. <Actually Master, while you were gone, I began the process of gathering a few of the nearby goblin tribes ahead of schedule so that we wouldn't just be left with an empty city.>

I was completely astonished at her words. I tried to figure out when she would've had the time to accomplish such an endeavor. It dawned on me that she had probably used [Parallel Existence] to gather he tribes while she focused on the construction of the outer layers of the city. <Affirmative. I finished my work with relative ease and plenty of time to spare with the usage of [Multiple Parallel Existence] before joining Master last night. I believe you will be pleasantly surprised when we arrive.> I tried to wrap my head around what she was saying. While this conversation was going on, I had apparently forgotten the activation of [Thought Acceleration] again as Kaijin, Dord, Garm, Myrd and Testarossa were all staring at me in slight confusion.

"Ah, please forgive me. I take back what I was about to say. Then, are you prepared to teach your crafts to the first citizens of my nation upon our arrival?" This shocked Testarossa, as she hadn't received any indication that we had already acquired some of the citizenry. Kaijin and his brothers on the other hand, nodded eagerly at my question. "Of course Rimuru-sama. I assume we shall be setting out for our destination tomorrow? And if you don't mind my asking, who will we be teaching exactly?" I nodded with a small smile. Kaijin had always been rather quick on the uptake.

"For now, you will be instructing Goblins and Hobgoblins. And yes, we will set out roughly before noon tomorrow." They seemed at little surprised, but nodded nonetheless. "Then we shall head back to our shop and have our things prepared for departure." With these words, the dwarven quartet rose from their seats before leaving the room. After they left, I slumped back upon the sofa, releasing a heavy sigh as my thoughts became clouded once more. Ciel emerged from within me and took a seat next to me. Her appearance caught Testarossa slightly by surprise, but she quickly got over it. I gestured for her to take a seat across from us before I straightened up in my seat once more.
