CHAPTER 8

"Okay Adam look to your right٫ chin up and slightly look at the camera." Maxine was instructing him the pose she wanted to achieve٫
while holding her camera close to her face.

"Yes٫ yes that's it, perfect." then the camera flashed. Nakangiting ibinaba ni Maxine ang camera't isinukbit ang sling niyon sa kanyang balikat. They had a very long day at kanina pa siya nagugutom. Half past twelve o'clock in the afternoon, naka ilang palit na din siya ng damit. Now his stomach wants something to eat.

They are currently doing a photo shoot for the Latest men's fashion wear catalog. He is the newest brand ambassador kaya pusposan ang pag hahanda nila para sa launching ng latest designs next week.
Since he is the newest ambassador, he will be expected to lead the team for the fashion week.

"Great job A٫ for now let's call it a day. I know you're hungry. Since I got all the best shots, you can take your exit٫ Okay? So, see you tomorrow?." ani Maxine na tinapik pa siya sa balikat. Tumango nalang siya bilang tugon, hindi naman siya makapag salita dahil kasalukuyang tinatanggal ng make up artist niya ang make up.

Finally, he could have a good rest, a good nap٫ and a good food.

Suddenly his phone rang and it was on the table next to his belongings٫ napatingin siya sa direksyon kung saan ito nakapatung.

He motioned his right hand to stop the make up artist from what she's doing and dismissed her. Agad naman itong umalis at iniwan na siya sa kinauupuang stool. After a few minutes of contemplation٫ he finally stood up and walked closely to the ringing phone.
His eyebrows crossed when he saw the caller's I.D٫ a bit hesitant if he's gonna answer it or not٫ because it's so random for this person to call him.

The phone stopped ringing٫ but just a few minutes later it rang again and it's not stopping.
So he heaved a heavy sigh and eventually took the phone, pressed the answer button and took it closer to his right ear while walking out of the studio, and headed to his dressing room.

"What is it?." he asked after closing the door behind him upon reaching his dressing room. Now it becomes his habbit not saying hi or hello to this man. Rude might it seemed but he doesn't care anyway

"Is that how you talk to your Dad, Adam?" his sarcastic voice made him roll his eyes and clench his jaws. "ANO PAKI MO?" gusto niyang isatinig iyon٫ ngunit nag pigil siya.

"You're surprised? Don't forget I am your son, and it runs naturally in the blood." he replied sarcastically as well. He then heard him laugh on the other line.

"Now tell me what you want because I am busy." he snapped hearing those hearty laugh, so it made his temper explode unexpectedly. He hates hearing him laugh or even smile.

He heard him sigh but that did not bother him.

"Come to my office there are things we need to talk about personally. I can't spell them out over the phone, it's quite confidential." he furrowed his eyebrows upon hearing that, it did caught his curiosity really good.
CONFIDENTIAL?

"Fine. Later I'll come drop by ." pagkatapos ay pinatay na ang tawag, habang kuyom ang mga kamao.

WHAT IS IT THAT HE WANTS THIS TIME? sa isip niya.

It's gonna be the first time in thirty years that he's going to step on his father's empire. The whole world has no idea that they are both related to each other, his identity was hidden, for the sake of keeping his profile and marriage clean. Now his father wants him to come from the shadows?.. Well٫ if it's not really that important he's not gonna take that risk meeting him in one place.

He was raised by his mom alone. Working day and night just to give him the life he deserved, they never asked for his father's help. Though it could be a big help with his studies and daily needs, it's just that if he really was interested of giving him a fair share of his love and support as a father, he could have at least did something to acknowledge him as his own. That discouraged his mom so much that it even led her to removing his dad's access to their lives. They never ask him for anything, so if there's anything that he had owed him?
It's probably his life and existence.
