The person who was totally unhappy with this marriage was mandakini, trilochan and binoy cousin sister, she was six years elder than them, so everyone in roy choudhary haveli respects her a lot besides this after the demise of trilochan's father she was the one who handled the broken roy choudhary family members and supported them a lot by all means wheather it was monetary or emotional
So they were indebted to her .

she always wanted to marry her elder sister in law's daughter kadambini with anirudh, her elder sister in law got passed away while giving birth to kadambini and mandakini has no children of her own so she considered kadambini as her own daughter, kadambini was always despised by her father ,he considered her as a bad omen and therefore mandakini wants to marry her in such a household where they will treat her with love and roy chaudhary haveli is a best place for this, she used to bring kadambini with her whenever she visits roy choudhary haveli, anirudh and kadambini were good friends from childhood and kadambini was in love with anirudh therefore mandakini proposed this matter infront of trilochan when anirudh was fourteen years old but trilochan denied by saying that it is too early, so she waited but when on returning back from her pilgrimage tour she learned about anirudh marriage with kumud which was totally an exasperated news for her, kadambini was totally heart broken and from that time she never came to meet him but after hearing the news that kumud was unable to produce a child she got a little hope,

Mandakini never liked kumud because according to her she snatched the place which rightfully belongs to her kadambini, she was happy that kumud was not able to give heir to the family even after three years of marriage so she have a chance to propose anirudh's second marriage with kadambini but luck was never on her side, she was present at the time in haveli when kumud and anirudh announced their pregnancy.

But she believes that she was such a great worshipper of durga ma that the goddess herself wants to fulfill her wish that's why she gave her this auspicious news that kumud fall from stairs and lost her as well as her child's life, she thought now her way is clear she will manipulate trilochan and make anirudh married to her daughter kadambini.

She was present there when kumud fall from the stairs, accidentally, but she voluntarily neglected that girl who was lying in her pool of blood and was thrashing with pain, her teary eyes were looking at her with a silent pleading to save her, to call someone for help but she carefully ignored her and stayed there hidden in the corridor and she enjoyed the view when anirudh carried her in his arms to the hospital. Then she expressed her sorrow infront of the family with fake tears and that's why she returned back to her home to give kadambini this auspicious news of her death but after that when she reached roy chaudhary haveli she got the most shocking news of her life that anirudh got married again that to within three months of her wife's death, with whom, with his deceased wife younger sister bondita.

She never liked bondita also, because of her chirpy and playful nature, she was a lady with orthodox believes who thinks that women suits in the four walls of house not playing and jumping infront of everyone. And on receiving the news and circumstances in which anirudh married bondita, her anger just reached at its peak, now she can't leave bondita because this time it was bondita who ruined her daughter's dream to become  anirudh wife
And trilochan maked her work easy by handling her the work to trained bondita as a perfect daughter in law of the house because as a child she don't understand the manners and responsibilities of a daughter in law and a wife, he was not wrong either because he only wants someone who can make bondita understand how to behave as a mature lady and understand her responsibilities but he don't know that the person on whom he vested his belief is not trustworthy enough.

Mandakini gave a wicked smile towards bondita which trilochan doesn't understand and assured him that she will do this work very sincerely.

Bondita sleep with a peaceful smile on her face because today she played with batuk after so many days and ate rosgolla as she wants but the very next day mandakini make a plan to snatch her peace from her face and burdened her with so much responsibilities that she forget how to smile.

A loud knock in the early morning five o clock  at the door of bondita's room broke her sleep but bondita was so reluctant to leave her comfy blanket that she slept again, her behavior angered mandakini and she poured down a jug full of cold water on her face, bondita screamed loudly at the sudden action and greeted with a horrible face , she was not horrible from face but also from her actions, she  ordered her in a harsh tone to get ready in thirty minutes and come down to durga ma's temple. Koyli helped her to get ready.

Her training was started, at first she was ordered to clean the temple all by herself, it was difficult but somehow she did it, then wash all the vessels going to be used in worship, draw an alpana but here bondita stuck because she doesn't do it before although she tried only to receive a harse tap on her head by her pishi sasuma mandakini ji, it was her first day so she taught her but with a warning to make it correct tomorrow otherwise...
The next step was singing aarti, bondita somehow sung it by looking into the book and from there she was taken to the kitchen where koyli already moped,
Mandakini told her to lit chula but even after many attempts bondita was unable to do so, on which mandakini can't keep her frustration to herself and commented

Ladki teri ma ne tujhe kuch bhi nahi sikhaya kya, chula jalana tak tujhe aata nahi, na jaane ghar kese sambhalegi.

Bondita didn't understand her exact words but she knows one thing that she was using bad words for her mother, so she tried to argue only to receive a tight slap on her cheek, five fingerprints were clearly shown on her cheek and it was stinging very badly, bondita can't control and ran outside the kitchen while crying,

It was trilochan's daily routine to wake up early, when he heard bondita's crying voice he panicky ran to her direction and asked her politly the reason of her crying but then he noticed the finger marks and he felt sudden anger on the person who dare to slap the daughter in law of roy choudhary haveli,
mandakini replied calmly that to make stubborn children teach something, they need to use some punishments which is completely okey, bondita was still crying very badly, trilochan felt bad for her but due to respect for her elder sister he couldn't say anything, only requested her to treat bondita with love because her thakuma treated her like a princess, she had never done any work with herself that's why she didn't know anything but she is a intelligent girl who will learn very quickly, moreover she is still a child so they can't behave harshly with her, for them if batuk is their son then bondita is their daughter, they can't treat her cruelly just because she is the daughter in law.

Mandakini frowned at his words but didn't show it outside ,just nodded her head but she was knitting a plan in her mind to make bondita silent on all the tortures which she was going to do on her, it was the last way to make bondita ran away from roy choudhary haveli and then she will make her daughter marriage with anirudh.
