Sometimes... I sit and watch the water.

Something about the waves hitting the shore sounds like it's lapping at my own ears from the inside.

Something about the warm sand slightly sinking my feet and the sunset staring directly back at me feels like an endless loop of tying me tighter to the earth... even though the sun itself is nowhere near it.

I could sail across this same sea... but I know no matter how much I'd try to reach the sun, I know that never could.

How could that feels so close... be so so far away?

...Questioning that doesn't stop that peace that comes with this. Right now. I'm still grateful for its presence everyday... the view of this, the feeling...

There's always a feeling of warmth in my chest. A feeling that expands & blankets me in goosebumps whenever she touches my hand.

I'd never get to take this view all in... not like this at least... if it wasn't for her.

"Eren!"

He snapped out of his trance and turned to the direction of that sweet voice that called his name.

A gorgeous woman whose skin always seemed to turn ethereally immortal in every kind of sunlight was approaching him. The bump of her tummy beneath her sundress causing a cute small waddle in her footsteps.

The dimples on his olive skin sank in, as they usually did whenever he'd see you coming. He pulled his hands his from pockets, always drawn to feel at his unborn child the best he could, meeting your lips with a gentle kiss.

"How'd you sleep?"

You shrugged, "It was alright at first but I think my stomach growled loud enough for it take me right outta that." You rolled those big tree bark colored eyes.

He exhaled a laugh, knowing how you get nowadays since motherhood had invaded your body. Feeling a movement shift beneath his palm, his eyes dropped down.

It had been 6 months since he found out about this baby and yet the movements still surprised him every time. His face straightened in shock before his smile sank even further than what it was a second ago, twisting his head back to you. "You craving anything?"
