It's been 2 months since initial investigation of The Replicator's wrath on the BAU and he's closing in on the team. Not only that, three of their new agents where killed trying to stop The Back Alley Skinner Zack Pearson. Dr. Spencer Reid is talking about Shakespeare while Penelope is talking to JJ.
Elena sits at her desk sipping coffee while trying to figure out how she's going to catch the man that escaped but she knows there's a funeral today so she'll have to wait until tomorrow.
Everyone is gathered at the funeral and the victims families are there. The priest begins the service with a prayer then the service begins. Ten minutes into the service, Derek looks up and sees a red light aiming at Elena. He yells her name and she falls to the ground. People are screaming and ducking for cover.
"AGENT DOWN! AGENT DOWN!" Yells agent Hotchner.
JJ runs to Elena to check for a pulse. She's not breathing and immediately begins chest compressions. Blood is pouring from Elena's chest and back. She's losing too much blood.
"You stay alive! Please!" JJ yells while in the ambulance.
"33 year old female, GSW to the chest and massive blood loss! She needs surgery now or she'll die soon!"
JJ is standing in the doorway, crying, in shock with Elena's blood on her hands. She run into the restroom, frantically trying to get the blood of her hands and shirt. When she's done, she sits in the lobby and agent Hotchner, and Penelope Garcia walk in looking for her.
"She's in surgery." JJ says. "It's not good. They don't know if she'll make it since she lost too much blood." Penelope sits next to her and says, "She has to make it." "I hope so." JJ replies.
Six hours go buy with no information about Elena Sonne until Unit Chief Strauss walks in and says, "She didn't make it. I'm so sorry." The team accepts the loss and starts grieving.
The next day, Elena Sonne's funeral is held in Virginia. Her mother and father are in mourning. Everyone is holding hands. The priest begins the ceremony with a prayer and everyone is in tears. Later that day, a picture of FBI Agent Elena Sonne is hung up in the wall.
