The next day, Stephanie wakes up feeling a bit better. When she goes downstairs, she notices that Steve has started making a breakfast platter along with some coffee.
"Wow!" Stephanie says. "You really out did yourself." "Thanks." Steve replies. They sit down at the small two person table and eat while discussing their plans for the day. "Guess I'll have to be alone and read lots of books while you're working." Steve smiles. "There are two chairs in the backyard by the beach if you want to get some sun." "Thanks. That's sweet of you." Stephanie says.
After breakfast, Steve and Stephanie sit outside and talk more until he gets a phone call. They walk back in the house together and he leaves for work. An hour after he left, Stephanie is trying to take a nap but she can't. The stitches are pulling and itching and it's driving her insane so she decides to grab a book.
It's been three hours and Steve stops by to take her to lunch at Kamekona's shrimp truck. On the way there, she thinks about her team and if they're any closer to catching Zack Pearson and The Replicator. When will it be safe for her to go back home?
"You're quiet." Steve says. "Everything alright?"
"I'm good, just tired and hungry," she replies.
"Kamekona's food is delicious except where he tries to make new items like a spam donut fritter. It was disgusting!" Stephanie giggles as they drive up to the truck. It's just the two of them sitting at the picnic table and Kamekona walks over and gives them a delicious shrimp cocktail platter. He looks over at Stephanie.
"Hey sista. Mcgarrett says you're an old friend from Utah. What brings you here to this beautiful island?"
"I desperately needed a vacation after I got injured from saving people from a burning apartment building. Fell through the ground and almost got impaled and hurt my chest. I'll be staying here for a while until I'm better. How are you doing? Steve says you have the best food on the island."
"It's true. He and his friends are here almost everyday. The shrimp is caught every morning. I can get you a good deal on some shrimp if you're interested."
"That's sweet," Stephanie says. "I'll definitely think about it."
"Don't think about it for too long sista. Shrimp sells out fast when it's fresh."
Steve's smiles. "I don't think Stephanie can handle all that shrimp by herself."
"Alright, if you insist. Feel better Stephanie."
"Thanks you Kamekona! Nice meeting you."
After lunch, it's back to work for Steve and a much needed nap for Stephanie. When she wakes up, Steve still isn't home so she makes herself dinner. A bowl of Lucky Charms with a side of strawberries while she reads a book then goes back to bed. Still no word on whether or not they've caught Jack Pearson.
