new feelings

    Adraste POV

I climb off Markus' back and he helps me walk into the hotel. He walks me in his body shielding me from seeing inside. "I have a surprise for you" he says smiling slightly. I nod and he leads me through the living room to the bedroom.

  He walks behind me in front of the door, "close your eyes please" "okay" I close them and I feel Markus put his hand over my eyes and opens the door as I lean against his front. He helps me walk through the doorway and wraps his arm around my waist before taking his hand away.

   "Open your eyes" I open them and I see a white teddy bear and new clothes. "Do you like it Adraste?" I turn to him and smile widely, "yes I love it thank you!" Without a second thought I wrap my arms around the back of his neck.

  He hesitantly hugs me back. I realise what i've done, I pull away "i'm sorry! I...I don't..I don't know why I did that!" He hugs me tighter "you're fine...please just let me hug you a little longer" I hug him tighter.

   Markus POV

Why am I feeling this? Why does hugging Adraste feel so good? So right? What is this feeling? It's so intense. I want- no I need to protect Adraste.

  "Markus are you alright?" I pull away but leave my arms wrapped around her. She smiles gently, I nod "yeah I'm okay" we pull away and I lead her to sit down on the bed. She runs her hands over the bedding before picking up the teddy bear and hugging it. "I've never sat or slept on a real bed" I give her a worried look and sit down beside her. "What do you mean?" She turns to look at me fully and says "the only form of a 'bed' I had was a blanket on the hardwood floor." I grab her hand tightly "you will never have to worry about sleeping on the floor again, I promise."
