November 9th, 11:30 pm. 2038

Adraste POV

The pregnancy tests are both positive. I start tearing up, I've always thought about how excited I would be when I found out I was pregnant. Tears start streaming down my face, Markus takes the tests and puts them in the nightstand drawer. He then hugs my frozen body, hugging my head to his chest. I start crying harder and audibly this time, "i'm right here Adraste. It's going to be okay." I hug him and sob into his chest, "let's get you dressed"

Markus POV

Adraste's frozen it seems. I take off her robe not looking at anything and grab her clothes and carefully start with slipping on her underwear and long sleeved warm blue pajama top and black pajama pants. I carefully pick her up and move the blackets to tuck her her. I place the teddy bear in her arms and she immediately hugs it tightly. "Markus please cuddle me" she says in a weak voice, I get under the covers facing her and hug her too me. She snuggles her head against my chest, I massage her head avoiding the cut.

After ten minutes I can't stop thinking about what's happening to her. "How can I tell you that I love you? I can't tell you right now, but I promise to protect you and the baby." I whisper and kiss her head.

November 10th, 5:00 am. 2038

Adraste POV

I open my eyes to Markus still cuddling me. I remember the words I heard Markus said last night, I snuggle closer to him. I even wrap an arm around him! I feel Markus hug me tighter, its only been a few days since we met but it feels like we're meant to be.

I start feeling sick so I push Markus off me and run to the bathroom. Markus follows behind me and holds my hair back as I get sick. He rubs my back gently after i'm done and gets a washcloth to wet it and wipes my mouth. He flushes the toilet and helps me rinse out my mouth and brush my teeth. I place a hand on my stomach and I gently rub my hand over it. "I know a android that was programmed to be an obgyn. I can ask her if she can come over if you want." My face lights up, "yes please Markus."
