TERMS :
1. Divinity ㅡ basically the essence of beings from heaven; cause of Rosalie's gold eyes.
2. The Sacred Seven ㅡ a group of seven beings from heaven, kind of like footmen or soldiers that have little Divinity.
3. The Book of Judas ㅡ the book found in the ruined church in the Bayou (see chapter vi.bayou blues pt. 2); at first, the pages were blank, but a drop of Rosalie's gold blood revealed its contents (see chapter xv.cruel world); a collection of spells and dark rituals, mostly concerning the creatures of hell.
GENERAL NOTES :
It was mentioned that Divinity and Magic repel each other, so here are some clarifications to help you understand the story more:
1. Rosalie already had Divinity in her system when Esther Mikaelson tied her life to Niklaus's Hybrid curse. With her life, the werewolf bond, and the soulmate bond all tied to Magic, her Divinity was surpressed or 'veiled.' Therefore, the Sacred Seven could not perform the ritual because she was technically a human, reborn every century with the help of Magic.
2. In relation, every century, the werewolf and soulmate bonds are also reset for Rosalie. It's still there, but it hasn't been 'activated.' Until Nik and her develop and trigger the bonds, it remains dormant for her; but, as seen in the previous chapters, Rosalie feels attraction for him.
