Alec's POV I Clenched my Jaw at what I'm seeing. Leo is standing right next to Nevaeh and it's making my blood boil at the sight of it...this is the first time in my life where I didn't know what to do. I automatically thought of getting rid of sofi. "Get me a drink...". "No i wanna sta-..." I glared her down and she walked away. I turned back around and smiled. "Ah Leo! Long time no see bro!" I walked up to him and hugged him.
"What the fuck are you doing...". Leo whispered hugging me back awkwardly. "Nothing, play along...". We parted and I looked at Nevaeh. I melt at her beautiful smile. "Ah nice you know my boss that's cool..." Nevaeh smiled awkwardly. I frowned a bit but changed my facial expression back to smiling quickly. She said boss...Leo is her boss..."ah yeah we go way back...how are you though?...we haven't spoken in a while..." I let my guard down...now Leo know that I know her. Nevaeh face softens and I smirked. "Ah...yea working...I miss talking to you..." the last part she whispered but I heard her. Leo looked annoyed and scoffed.
"Nevaeh why don't we go to our table the host is about to do a toast...". Leo told Nevaeh. She smiled at me waving goodbye. I smiled back and looked down. Back comes Leo smirking at me. "So Nevaeh is a lover of yours?" Leo asked. I groaned at his statement. I didn't want him to know that I know her know her... he could possibly kill her to threaten me about my father not saying the real reason behind his father's death. "Why is it your concern...?". Leo chuckled and looked back at her. Nevaeh looked beautiful tonight. I sighed. Leo then looks back at me. He chuckled then walked over to the table he is seated at. I then alerted my crew to stay on guard. Who knows what could go down tonight.
Nevaeh's POV As I sat down at the table I kept thinking about seeing Alec with sofi...it didn't really sit right with me at all...but I didn't want to think too deep about it. We're not even together. But I'd like to get close. Mr.Vinci then snaps me out of thoughts with his hand on my thighs. "You ok princess?" He asked. "How do you know Alec?" I asked. He paused and began thinking a bit...he then sighed. "We went to high school together..." he smiled. I smiled back. "That's cute..." I looked away from Mr.Vinci and made eye contact with Alec. He smirked and looked away. Sofi puts her hands on him while whispering in his ear looking at me. Is she trying to make me jealous? Alec then pushes her away, I chuckled at the sight.
The lights in the room went dim and dancers starts to come out in these festival outfits. There was flashing lights and people started to applaud at the sight. Then comes in a man who I assumed is the mayor. Only because he has a whole sash with the word mayor on it. He's an old man. He waves to the crowd and blows kisses. What the hell is this party? He then walks up to a podium and begins to speak.
"Hello my fellow citizens of the big Apple.!"
I began to slowly tune things out and mess around with the fabric on the table. Mr.Vinci puts his hands on my thigh and began to caress it. He leans down to my ear. "Are you alright?" He says. I look up at him and smiled. "Yea I'm fine, I actually have to go use the bathroom." He nods his head and snaps at one of the guards. "Uh..I'll actually go alone it's fine thank you..." he smiled and kissed The back of my hand. "Don't keep me waiting.." he smirked. I chuckled and walked towards the back.
Alec's POV I saw Nevaeh get up from her seat and head towards the back. I got up and Sofi grabbed my arm. "Let. Go..." I spoke sternly staring her down. She slowly let ho of my arm and pouted. I began walking towards the back as everyone paid attention to the mayor speaking. I then see Leo get up and follow. What the hell
Leo's POV As Nevaeh walks away to the restroom, I see Alec get up and follow. I grit my teeth and stood up and did the same. As I walked around the corner I was grabbed and put up against the wall. Alec...this guy. I grabbed his arms and pushed him back against the wall and we both went at it. He punched me a few time in the ribs while I did the same with my knee.
He grabbed my head and smashed it against the wall. I fall down and chuckled as I stood back up while holding the wall for support. He looks at me with his bloody face. "What the fuck Leo..." . He says I shocked. "What the fuck? What the fuck? Oh Alec please you act like I knew you and Nevaeh were a thing ha.." I laughed as I spat out blood. Alec then punches the wall. "Don't worry your little brown sugar is safe with me." I chuckled. He then lunged at me, I got lower lunged back at him. He then somehow flipped me on my back.
Nevaeh then walks out seeing me and Alec with bloody faces and Alec mid punch to my face. "What the hell is going on?! Mr.Vinci are you ok?! Alec what are you doing?" She pushed Alec to the side and came to my side examining over my face. I smirked at Alec as he looked disgusted.
Alec's POV I stood there is disbelief as Nevaeh bent down by Leo's side. I can't be mad because she doesn't know what's fully happening between me and Leo. I sighed and ran my hands through my hair. "Alec! Why would you this?.." Nevaeh asked as she looked over me disgusted and quite frightened. I didn't say a word. I just glared at Leo as he looked at me like devil he is. I then get a call from one of my men in my ear piece.
Not even a second after listening I hear a big boom.
*EXPLOSION*
I jumped and grabbed Nevaeh, shielding her with my body. I get up to see if she's ok. She looked unconscious and began bleeding From her head. Leo saw and helped me with Nevaeh. People began running and screaming from the explosion and now gun shots. I saw one of my men and gave them Nevaeh. "GET OUT OF HERE SAFE WITH HER! IF SHES HURT MORE THATS YOUR HEAD! SEND HER TO MY MOTHER NOW!" They nod their head and ran off with Nevaeh. I looked back and saw Leo and his men shooting along with my men. I grabbed my gun and began to shoot. I began to lose my bullets, I bent down and grabbed a gun from a near by guard that was shot down. I then heard a yell. "HOLD IT BOYS..!" it sounds awfully familiar.
