So this year, I thought I'd discuss some of the prompts in connection to keeping the prompt "still clear", but the first thing I noticed was how straightforward a lot of the prompts were this year, which in turn means keeping the prompt "still clear" should be easier. It also should be easier to find a prompt to work with a pre-existing idea for ONC this year.
I want to start off with a cautionary note. Straightforward prompts are certainly easier to remain "still clear" in how you are using them, but it can be a little more difficult to maintain that prompt as an integral part of your story throughout the entire story. For example, it's quite easy to think to oneself, "Sometimes words speak louder than actions" describes an event I want to happen in my story--that's the first prompt on the list this year, and forget that either that singular event needs to be integral to the entire story, or the prompt needs to be repeated through multiple scenes in the story.
Oh, and can I suggest not doing an Encanto fanfic for prompt thirteen? That would likely be seen as taking the easy way out. However, referencing Encanto is an entirely different matter.
