Shivansh: Hey, how was your day?

Maansi: It was umm just okay. Listen we need to talk.

Shivansh: Oh okay... What about?

Maansi: I don't think we should continue talking to each other.

Shivansh: What? but why?

Maansi: Uhm, what's the point, we are friends and we talk the whole night, I'm getting addicted to you which is not good, the more we talk the harder it will get if we stop talking

Shivansh: Chill, calm down...I understand what you're saying. Are you having a bad day?

Maansi: My ex called me today.

Shivansh: Ohh, What did he say?

Maansi: Nothing specific just how are you? how is life? The point is after hearing his voice after almost 4 years all the memories of him and our relationship came rushing back.

Shivansh: I'm sorry but what happened?

Maansi: Ahh the same, we talked a lot and I got addicted to him and we fell in love...but slowly he started showing his true colors...

Shivansh: Ohh, but that's why we are friends right? no commitment no tension

Maansi: You don't get it. I just don't feel good.

Shivansh: It's okay chill I understand, what do you want?

Maansi: I...I just want to cry. (breaks down in tears)

Shivansh: Hey, stop no... look you can stop talking to me, but I'll always be there for you, whenever you need me.

Maansi: Stop. You're making me feel more guilty.

Shivansh: No. I am just telling you, that you can reach out to me whenever needed.

Maansi: Yeah sure.

Shivansh: So I guess it's a goodbye.

Maansi: Yeah bye.

Maansi: And also....I love you.

Maansi: As a friend.

He liked her last two messages. Maansi looked at the conversation for a while hoping for him to say 'Please don't go', but he didn't. She then logged out of her Instagram ID and kept her phone aside crying even more while curling in her bed. She wasn't addicted to him, she was in love with him, but still she let him go. Why? Because she was afraid. Afraid that one day they will separate due to circumstances since they won't commit to each other, this shit can't be forever. It's best to separate now, right?

Shivansh was a bit shocked and confused thinking she was joking and just had a bad day, so he left her to calm down and go to sleep, unaware that she was very serious. Since she asked not to text him, he patiently waited for her to text for days. But she didn't text. Maybe he was in love too? No? Then why did he cry every night before sleeping?

On the other side, Maansi never opened that ID again. She was true to her word even if it hurt. She kept convincing herself that it was for the best. She missed him every single day, even though it's stupid falling for a guy online, but she can't get over him.

Slowly days turned into months. They didn't talk. At all. Both slowly moved on with their lives, but every night she missed his 'how was your day' text and shared all the details of the day. It made her smile. When Shivansh realized she was serious, he was heartbroken for some reason, even though she was just a friend to her.

*6 months later*

One day, Maansi was scrolling through her laptop when she came across a quote.

After reading it, something hit her from inside. The memories. "It's been 6 freaking months but I still haven't moved on completely from that idiot! why do I still think of him, even though we talked for just a month?" She said to herself.

*Door opens*

"Hey, bestie! Been a long time, how are you?" said a girl from behind

"Omg!!!.....
