But when she landed and arrived at the airport in Mumbai, she was shocked to the core.
Nina was standing with Shivansh by her side. Nina ran up and hugged her. " Hey, bestie! How are you?" Nina asked. " Who is the guy you're with? " Maansi murmured in a low voice." Ohh he's my friend, Shivansh, and Shiv meet Maansi, my childhood friend. "
They both stared at each other, looking pale. Then, they both spoke at the same time, "Maansi? What are you doing here?" "Shivansh? What are you doing here?"
" Wait you guys know each other? Wait wait wait... Maansi and Shivansh? Bestie is he the guy you were...? " Nina asked. " Ohh shut up Nina... yeah he is my friend. " Maansi replied instantly to keep Nina from spilling the truth.
They sat in Shivansh's car and drove towards Nina's house. " So, been a long time... how are you? I wasn't expecting to meet you like this. " Shivansh asked in a low voice. " I am fine, I will be living in Mumbai now, I got a new job here. " Maansi replied. " That's great," said Shivansh.
Shivansh dropped them at Nina's place and went off. As soon as they entered the house, Maansi started yelling at Nina. "What the fuck Nina, you and Shivansh know each other, and you didn't tell me? "
"Well, how would I have known he is your 'Shivansh'? Besides you didn't show me his picture and we aren't even that close; can't two people have the same names?" Nina replied while crying. " I am sorry for yelling, but please tell me how do you guys know each other. " Maansi asked.
Nina promised to tell Maansi everything after dinner. They ate the food and went to bed, Maansi planned to stay at Nina's place till she found a job and a room.
" Okay so I went for a job interview, where I met Shivansh I thought he must be an employee so I didn't pay much attention, but he was the founder and CEO of that company, so." Nina was interrupted by Maansi.
"Founder? He never told me, sure he wanted to start his own company but..." Maansi replied. "That's the thing, this company started like 6 months ago, I am one of his first employees," Nina said.
"Ohh god, I can't believe Shivansh did it! I am so happy for him." Maansi said while smiling.
"But why did he come with you at the airport ?" Maansi asked
"Yeah, that was workday, he just insisted on driving me to the airport. "Nina replied, but something was not okay.
Nina, the calmest and most cheerful person on this planet; was sweating while talking about Shivansh. She also seemed a bit worried. Maansi noticed but didn't say anything.
The next day, Nina asked Maansi to come office with her. She agreed. Nina was the HR manager there, she was doing her work while Maansi was sitting in a corner scrolling through her laptop searching for ' available jobs near me' when suddenly the door opened. It was Shivansh Bansal or shall we say Founder and CEO of Zenter, a tech company.
"I see, you brought your friend today," Shivansh said to Nina. Yes sir, I'm sorry but it's just a matter of..." Nina was replying but Shivansh interrupted her.
"It's okay, I don't mind...Can I talk to Maansi for a bit?" Shivansh asked. "Sure, if she's okay." Nina replied in a low voice." Follow me, Maansi." Shivansh said while walking out.
Maansi didn't utter a word, she simply followed him. As she closed the door, she caught a glimpse of Nina's face, who was looking towards Shivansh through the window. Maansi began to have doubts about something, but she decided to ignore them for the time being.
She followed him to his office, where he offered her a seat and a glass of water..
"Maansi, how have you been over the past six months?" Shivansh asked.
