"Maansi, how have you been over the past 6 months?" Shivansh asked.

"'I am just fine, but you have achieved a lot! Congrats." Maansi replied.

"Yeah, thanks. I didn't believe you were serious that night. I waited for you for many days, but look! destiny had other plans" Shivansh said.

"I...I am sorry but maybe we can start our friendship again?" Maansi asked while looking into his eyes. "I'd love to, want to exchange numbers?" Shivansh replied.

"Of course," Maansi said. "By the way, which company are you working for here?"

Maansi went blank, her secret was about to come out, and she drank the whole glass of water kept in front of her, but to her rescue came Nina. " Sir I have completed the assignment."

"Okay, good job! You can rest for a while." Shivansh replied. Nina left, and Maansi thought it would be best to ask about Nina from Shivansh, it would also distract him from the topic.

"Hey, is something going on between you and Nina?" Maansi asked. "What? Did she tell you anything?" Shivansh asked in a stammering voice.

"No, but I have a feeling that something is going on. You can trust me with your secrets, can't you?" Maansi said to convince him. "We are quite close, and I have developed feelings for her, but I'm too afraid to ask her out. Although we're like best friends, I don't know if she feels the same way."Replied Shivansh with a blushing face.

Maansi's subtle smile and calm look vanished as if she'd seen a ghost. She was left speechless and felt like a sharp knife had stabbed her. Shivansh continued, " You are her friend, will you help me to get her?" Shivansh asked.

Maansi finally replied, " Yeah, we'll see. Bye." And she left, trying her best not to cry.

Later that night, she asked Nina about it. "Hey, do you like Shivansh?"
"What? No, I'd never steal my best friend's guy." Nina replied. "Ohh come on. What about before I came here?" Maansi asked. "See Maansi, maybe I did but after knowing that you like him, I'll back off," Nina replied.

Maansi did not say anything else. Even if Nina backs off, Shivansh likes him too. She was crying hard but managed to hide it from Nina. Whose fault was it? Mine? Nina's? Shivansh's?

Fate, fate is to be blamed for this. Stupid, stupid fate! Maansi can't even go back now. What should she do? The one person she came here for, loves someone else.

The next day in the morning, she moved out of Nina's place. She told Nina that she found a room, even though she hadn't. She had an interview for today, so she went there first.

Later after the interview as she was walking towards a cafe, she spotted Shivansh. "Hey Maansi! What's up?" Shivansh said. "Hey, can you help me find a room?" Maansi asked.

"Well, I don't think so, but you can stay at my home, there are plenty of empty rooms," Shivansh said. Wasn't it bad enough that he likes her best friend, and now she has to see both of them together?

But what other choice did she have? In this unknown city, she can't trust a stranger. She agreed and moved in. It was a room on the first floor, he lived on the second floor.

Maansi started living there, she got the job she interviewed for. Every time she saw Shivansh, she thought, 'Should I let him go? Should I keep trying or should I give up?

"Hello! Daydreamer, wake up to reality!" Shivansh said laughing. Maansi often zones out when she sees Shivansh. "Ohh yeah, I'm sorry," Maansi replied." It's been a week, you don't talk much do you? We used to talk a lot on Instagram." Shivansh asked.

"Yeah, I think that people who are talkative on social media are the most unsocial people," Maansi replied. ''True'' Shivansh said.

"You seem too happy today, what happened? Maansi asked seeing Shivansh's happy face.

"So, I asked Nina out, and to my surprise, she said yes!" Shivansh's cheeks turned a rosy shade as he spoke.
