Chapter 2

He sends his picture. Maansi saw him, but he was nothing like she imagined. She imagined a really good-looking guy, but he was just average.

Shivansh: I know I am not that good-looking.

Maansi: Why do you say things like that, at least be confident and you can work on yourself

Shivansh: I am. Are you single by the way?

Maansi:  Of course why else would I talk to you? What about you?

Shivansh: Same here but I am not looking for a relationship, especially online.

Maansi: Yeah me too.

Shivansh: I have been deceived and swindled by numerous individuals online. That's why I'm hesitant to trust anyone I meet online, let alone commitment. We have no clue about the true identity of the other person.

Maansi: True. But are you okay with online friends?

Shivansh: Yup, anything but not commitment. Friends or friends with benefits 

Maansi: Lol. So you ever done that benefits thing?

Shivansh: Umm yeah like I did. But I never forced someone for that. I only do it when girls force me to.

Maansi: Yeah, so you're just a horny guy looking for enjoyment. Don't see me as friends with benefits.

Shivansh: What, no I never thought that about you. I am horny but not a creep, I would never do anything to make you feel uncomfortable. I know my limits

Maansi:  That's nice of you, but still why do guys do such things

Shivansh: It's just a distraction. All we want is true love, and we are ready to sacrifice everything

Maansi: That's sweet of you but not every girl deserves true love.

They continued talking about many topics, almost every night. She was happy having someone who waited to talk to her.

*After somewhat 8-9 days* She finally sends her pic

Shivansh: Is that you? You are really pretty and cute like I imagined.

Maansi:  Thanks (she blushed)

Shivansh: Hey, I think I am getting addicted to you. I wait to chat with you every night.

Maansi: Oh yeah, I know I'm a drug. lol

Shivansh: Actually. 

Maansi: Hmm, tell me something about your past.

Shivansh: I am really shy; I don't talk much in real life, but I don't know I just opened up to you. I never had a girlfriend.

Maansi: Ohh, Same, I only talk to my close ones, but I do have an ex.

Shivansh: Why did you guys break up?

Maansi: Let's not talk about it. It breaks me every time I talk about him.

Shivansh: Okay as you wish. Hope you're okay.

Maansi:  Yeah it's been a long time. Can I say something?

Shivansh: Yeah sure

Maansi: You are different, you're nothing like the guys I met so far. 

Shivansh: Why so?

Maansi: You are so understanding and the sweetest guy. You might think you're not good but I wish I get a guy like you.

Shivansh: Umm that means a lot to me. Not used to getting compliments.

Maansi: That's because people don't know you. Hahaha

Maansi and Shivansh became very close in a short time. They shared their biggest fears and darkest secrets and accepted each other for who they were. They eventually became best friends, but Maansi started to develop romantic feelings for him. She didn't confess her feelings because she knew that he didn't want to commit to a relationship, and she didn't want one either. However, as the saying goes, you can't control falling in love.

She fell harder each day seeing how pure his heart is despite knowing his darkest secrets and what he did in the past. She knew it was wrong and her parents would kill her if they found out.

One day, something happened that changed Maansi and Shivansh's relationship forever. Maansi was crying in her bed while waiting for Shivansh to come online. She thought about her decision again and again, convincing herself that breaking off communication with him was the best thing to do. So, she had made up her mind and decided not to talk to him anymore.

Shivansh: Hey, how was your day 

Maansi: It was umm just okay. Listen we need to talk.

Shivansh: Oh okay... What about?
