Secrets Part 3 Ch 31
At General Hospital - Tracy was in the hallway, feeling a little nervous about going to therapy with Skye. She was taking deep breaths when Monica came by.
"Tracy, why are you here? You look nervous about something," Monica asked.
"I'm having therapy with Skye," Tracy replied.
"Wow, I do hope it goes well." Monica said. "All this is my fault, why she hates me."
"You hate her too?" Tracy asked.
"Yes, I did, and that's why I agreed to come here," Tracy said as Skye approached.
"I do hope you both find a way to build a relationship. We are family. Now I need to go to a meeting about the clinic for Bobbie," Monica said and left.
"Thanks for agreeing to do this," Skye said.
"I want to have a relationship with you and your children," Tracy replied.
"We should go," Skye said.
Kevin was in his office, waiting for Skye and Tracy, hoping things would go well. When Skye and Tracy arrived,
"I'm glad you're both here. So, who would like to start?" Kevin asked.
"Why did you give me up like I was nothing? You claim you loved Adam, my father, but you treat me like gum on your shoes," Tracy said.
"I was young when I was pregnant with you and wasn't ready to be a mother," Skye responded.
"You didn't have to raise me; you didn't raise your sons—the nanny did! You had money to keep me! You didn't have to give me up! Did you even look for me or check on me?" Skye asked.
"Yes, I did. I went to London on vacation and found out that's where Althea was living. I went to check on you and saw you outside playing with an older woman. You seemed happy," Skye explained.
"That was my nanny. Althea never played with me. She never cared about me—she just used me as a punching bag! Did you care who you gave your daughter to? Did you ever love me? Why did you hide the truth from me?" Skye yelled.
"I handled this wrong from the beginning. My biggest regret is not raising you. Your life could have been so different if I had," Tracy admitted.
"Yes, I wouldn't be so insecure in my relationships, feeling the need for someone to love me. Now that I'm a mother, I make sure my daughters know I love them every day. I don't want them to have issues like I do," Skye said.
"Dr. Collins, do we have a chance of fixing this?" Tracy asked.
"Yes, I believe you do if you're both willing to work on it," Dr. Collins replied.
"Yes," Skye agreed. "I want a relationship with you and my granddaughters."
"What about my husband?" Skye asked.
"Skye, I can't let it go that Lorenzo is responsible for my brother's death. He's part of my family," Tracy said.
"Lorenzo can't come to the family gathering. I can't believe you can just let it go. Alan loved you," Skye said.
"I love him too, and I hate that he's dead. But Lorenzo loves me, like no one ever did," Skye responded.
"Skye, I'm sorry you didn't grow up knowing you were loved," Tracy said.
"It wasn't just feelings of being unloved. Althea would abuse me emotionally and physically," Skye explained through tears.
"No, I'm sorry," Tracy said.
"It would get worse when she was drinking and had her man friends over. They would go into my room," Skye recounted.
"Skye, were you raped?" Kevin asked.
"Yes, more than once. I promised myself that when I became a mother, I would protect my daughter. I failed Gabriella," Skye said, crying.
