Secrets Part 3, Ch. 20
Dex-Dex was at his house when there was a knock at the door. It was Tea.
"Tea, why are you here?" Dex asked.
"I've given you space, but I wanted to see you," Tea replied.
"Why did you give me to Lorenzo? Was it your idea?" Dex questioned.
"I wasn't in the right state of mind after I had you to raise you, so Lorenzo stepped in," Tea explained.
"Did you ever visit me?" Dex asked.
"Yes, I did. I would check on you in boarding school, but I kept my distance because I didn't want to hurt you or make you blame yourself for what happened. It wasn't your fault," Tea said.
"It wasn't yours either, but I need more time. I feel like my whole life is a lie. I've always worked for my father, I mean Lorenzo, but maybe it's time I do something else," the girl said.
"I hope you do something else. I didn't want you in this lifestyle. I wasn't raised by my biological parents; my father didn't want a daughter, so I was put up for adoption," she added.
"I'm sorry, Dex. Lorenzo loves you, and we all do," Tea said before leaving.
At AJ's hotel-AJ was working when Skye came in with Gabriella.
"Gabriella, why don't you go pick up our order? I need to talk to AJ," Skye said.
Gabriella left.
"Skye, how are you doing? I know Lila Rae leaves today," AJ asked.
"I'm emotional, but I have some information for you about who is responsible for tampering with my car's brakes," Skye replied.
"Who?" Julian asked.
"Julian," AJ said.
"No! Where is he?" Skye whispered.
Skye went to AJ.
"Julian went," she whispered.
"Tell Lorenzo to thank you," AJ said.
"I will. I still blame myself—I could never bring Michael back to you, and I'm sorry," Skye said as she cried.
"I will always miss my son, but I can forgive you. This wasn't your fault," AJ replied.
They shared a hug as Gabriella arrived with a bag of food.
"Gabriella, how's the job hunting going?" Skye asked.
"I got a job at Bobbie's," Gabriella replied.
"Really?" Skye responded.
"Yes. I don't like it, but as soon as I have enough money, I'm done," Gabriella said.
"I wish I had a job for you," Skye said.
"Well, soon the bouquet will be ready. We should go," Gabriella suggested.
At Skye/Lorenzo-Lorenzo was looking at the mail when Tea came in.
"Tea, why are you here?" Lorenzo asked.
"I just saw Dex. He's still angry," Tea said.
"He just needs time. We did the right thing. I don't regret it," Lorenzo replied.
"I don't either. I wasn't in the right mind to raise him," Tea said.
"No, you weren't. Do you want to stay for dinner? We're having a little goodbye party for Lila Rae," Lorenzo asked.
"No, I don't want to oppose," Tea responded.
"Tonight is about family," Lorenzo said.
Skye and Gabriella entered.
"I asked Tea to stay and have dinner with us," Skye mentioned.
"Sure, we'd be happy to have you," Lorenzo said.
