Secrets Part 3 Chapter 38
At Skye and Lorenzo's place, Skye was sitting on the couch drinking coffee and looking over paperwork for tonight's shopping center opening when Gabriella arrived.
"Gabriella, I'm glad you're finally up. We have a lot to do," Skye said as Lorenzo entered the room.
"Why didn't anyone tell me I have another brother named Diego who killed Emily and another girl named Georgie?" Gabriella asked.
"We want to protect you. You don't have all the information. The internet gets things wrong. You shouldn't Google our family," Lorenzo replied.
"I wouldn't have to if I was told the truth," Gabriella said.
"You're right. We should have told you about your brother. I didn't know about Diego because I didn't get to raise him. If I had, he would still be here. Your brother was mentally unstable and killed two innocent women. I don't defend Diego's decision to kill them. I just wish I could have saved him," Lorenzo said.
"Did Diego have bipolar disorder?" Gabriella inquired.
"Yes, it runs in our family. I didn't mean to keep this a secret," Lorenzo admitted.
"I wish I knew him," Gabriella said.
"Me too. Diego would have loved being a big brother," Lorenzo responded.
"Yes, at least I have Dex," Gabriella said.
"Yes. Now, Gabriella, we need to get ready for tonight. Let's go to the shopping center," Lorenzo added.
"Yes, Mother," Gabriella said.
At the Tea House, Tea was at home when there was a knock on the door. It was Daniella.
"Daniella, I'm glad you're here. I miss you," Tea said.
"I miss you too, Mom," Daniella replied as they shared a hug.
"I have a lot to talk to you about," Tea said as they entered the house.
"Why are you in this town?" Daniella asked.
"To know Lorenzo is my brother," Tea answered.
"What about Tomas?" Daniella asked.
"Lorenzo was pretending to be Tomas for the CIA. My biological father was a criminal boss," Tea explained.
"My family is part of the mob," she added.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. It was Dex.
"I thought we could talk about the fact that I'm your son," Dex said.
"What! You have a son!" Daniella yelled.
"Dex, this is my daughter, Daniella. Dex is my son. I gave him up when I was younger," Tea explained.
"Why?" Daniella asked.
"Because I was convinced I had been raped," Tea answered.
"Mom," Dex said, "It's true. I want to get to know you. You had a good life with Lorenzo as your father."
"Is Lorenzo his father?" Daniella asked.
"No, my other brother Luis is," Dex responded.
"I just wanted you to know that I understand why you gave me up. I've had a great life. You did the right thing for me," Dex said.
"Thank you. My only regret is that you work for Lorenzo. You're so smart; you should do something else," Tea replied.
"I've been thinking about doing something else with my life," Dex said.
"I hope you do," Tea responded.
"I've always wanted another brother," Dex added.
"Thanks. I have two sisters. What's one more?" Dex said.
