Sergio's POV
I was in the locker rooms waiting for the game to start. I was worried leaving Emilia with Addie. Addie can be a little too much and especially with a girl like Lia.
"Yo the crowds packed out there." Daniel said sitting next to me. This was an important game for the team.
"Come on boys." Our coach said as we all got up. We all ran out on the field. I was blinded by the lights and cameras. My senses came engulfed with the yelling of the crowd. I looked over to where my mama and papa usually sit. I saw my parents cheering but next to them was Addie and Lia. She looked beautiful she was wearing a jersey with my number on it and last name with short jean shorts. Her long Lucious curls fell to her sides as she awkwardly cheered. I looked to the scoreboard with the screen on her. I had an idea as I ran up to the side of the barricades. She looked at me confused at me.
"Just go along with me." I whispered to her as I cupped her face with my hands. I leaned in closer to her and she was confused and awkwardly had her arms on my wrists.
"Ser-." I cut her off as I connected my lips to hers. Her lips were soft and tasted like strawberries. She parted her lips allowing me access to her. My tongue danced around with hers. I was instantly addicted to this. I had to force myself to pull back to breathe.
"Thank you." I said running out to the field. The crowd was roaring while the announcers were ranting about it. I looked back over to see her speechless. Her cheeks were flushed and she was standing there in a haze. She was honestly so cute with her innocence. The whistle blew and I focused my attention to the game.
...
"GAME!! THE LIONS WIN!!" The crowd cheered as others booed. My team celebrated as we won the game. I was happy as we all celebrated going back to the locker room. The excitement continued as we all were happy.
"You coming to the winning party?" My teammate Juan asked and I nodded my head. I took a shower and changed into casual clothes as water dripped from my hair. I stepped out of the locker room to have my mama engulfed me in a big hug.
"I'm so proud of you Gio!" My mom squealed as my papa laughed.
"Good job Gio." Addie exclaimed hitting my arm playfully. I scanned the rest of the hall to see Lia there awkwardly scratching her arm. I walked over to her and she looked up at me with her big innocent eyes.
"G-good job." She stuttered looking to the side of me.
"Sorry if I made you uncomfortable I was just tryna make it look believable." She looked back up at me shocked. It was like she was shocked of me apologizing.
"I-it's fine." She gave me a weak smile. She was a very bad liar. This was probably weird for her to have all this attention on her. I grabbed he4 a hand and gave it a squeeze.
"How about I ditch this winning party and we can do whatever you want."
"N-no don't cancel anything because of me!" She instantly retorted taking a step back.
"Lia it's fine I don't like parties that much." I said fixing my bags strap around my shoulder. She looked at me nervously unsure of what to say.
"Are you sure?" I nodded my head taking her hand back in mine leading us out of the stadium. I know there was gonna be a lot of paparazzi so I tightly gripped her hand as I opened the exit door. We were met by the clicks and flash's of cameras. I felt her instant,y freeze. I looked back at her giving her a reassuring smile and she slowly continued. I just ignored the reporters asking questions. I quickly got Lia into my car away from the paparazzi.
"Are they usually like that?" Lia asked me as I got into the car. I sighed nodding. Paparazzi was my least favorite part of my job. They were like legal stalkers and I hated it.
"Where do you wanna go?
"A park." She said twiddling her thumbs not reaching my gaze.
"Of course."
...
We sat on the swings. She was staring up at the sky captivated by it. Her chocolate brown eyes glowed as the sun hit her face.
"I have no idea how fútbol works but I can tell you're pretty good." I looked at her she now had a big smile on her face. It was like she had a moment of peace.
"Thank you. You have a good voice." She looked at me as her eyes softened.
"Thank you for being nice to me. You've been way nicer than my real family has ever been." She smiled at me and I couldn't help to smile back at her.
"Of course Lia you deserved way better."
