Emilia's POV

[SONG SUGGESTION: SAFETY NET BY ARIANA GRANDE]

My eyes shot open as the light from the window shined onto my face. I felt a heavy weight on my chest and felt a cold minty breath fanning on my face. I looked over to see Sergio sleeping. He looked so peaceful while sleeping. We must've fallen asleep on the couch after last night. I examined Sergio face and I have to admit he's a very attractive guy. I felt strangely comfortable in his embrace. I sunk into to his strong cologne and enjoyed a little piece of what was Sergio Hernandez. I came up for air into reality, I slowly lifted his arm off of me slowly carefully trying to make sure I didn't wake him up. Once I was out of his graceful embrace I quickly ran to the bathroom feeling my cheeks become a crimson red.

"Ehhh what happened last night?" I ran through every memory in my brain from last night but nothing comes to light. I stood there looking at my sunken eyes and with a raging headache. Then the push from my throat caught up and I ran to the toilet to throw up. Then I remembered I was at a club last night and I probably drinked.

My eyes feel heavy as I rested my head up against the toilet seat. I've never been a big drinker but sometimes I did it to drown the pains of my life. Forgetting is nice sometimes but the aftermath of it all hurts. Because then you remember everything g and realize it's all a bittersweet dream.

...
Sergio's POV

I've been in my office since I woke up processing what happened last night. What she told me wanted to make me go back and break that guys neck and make him regret hurting Lia. But I knew I couldn't even though she'd be worth it. Lia has been locked in her room all day only sneaking out to get something to eat. Did I do something to hurt her?

Bzzzt!

I reached for my phone to see a text from My Mama.

"6 more days!!"

A small smile tugged onto my face thinking about how in six days Emilia Delgado will be my wife. Hopefully this week goes fast. I got up to walk to the house gym getting ready for my work out but I walked past her door longing for her to come out.

...

Emilia's POV

I walked out of my room finally building up the courage to go see him. I wandered around the house trying to find where he was when I finally met the sight of him.

He had no shirt on in just a pair of shorts. He was doing push ups while his sweat glistened off his skin. His back was defined with muscle and his biceps flexed as he pushed up. There was no doubt that he was a sexy man. He finally got up to get a drink of water catching me staring at him. My face turned red and I duck and hid.

I was hoping he wouldn't come out and confront me. I should've stayed in my room. But he looked so fine working out.

"Lia." I looked the other way trying to hide from him. He let out a deep sultry chuckle as I heard him kneel to my level. He took my chin making me meet his eye contact. His eyes made a quick flicker to my lips then back to my eye. Was I imagining that or did he really?

"What are you doing down here?" I hesitate at his question forgetting the whole reason I'm down here. I looked into his eyes feeling them swallow me. He had a cheeky smirk on his face.

"Emiliaaaa!" I heard Lucía call out my name and I quickly bounce to my feet. She finally found me down here and she scanned the situation. She smiled a bit than walked over to me.

"We have shopping to do you two!" She joyfully said as she grabbed onto my arms.

"For what Mama?" Sergio asked her as he swung a towel around his neck holding onto it.

"Houses!" She clapped her hands together. Sergio looked at her dumbfounded.

"For what I already have this house?"

"Because you chose this house Emilia didn't."

"Woah woah this house is more than enough for me" I butted in. I didn't need a new house this one was way more than my parents ever had.

"Let's do it" i looked at Sergio crazy. Nobody needed to by me a new house. It was too much after everything else they done.

"Honey let us do this it'll be a house fanatic both of you like." Lucía placed her hand on my cheek. She gave me a lovingly gaze something I've never had from a mother.

"O-okay."

...

We stepped up to the house and it was way different than Sergio's. This was a family house, it was still huge but it had a more homey feel than Sergio's more modern house. It had a beautiful tan paneling and stone walls. It was full of bushes filled with flowers. I looked over to Sergio having a blank expression, it was hard to read him all the time sometimes you can tell how he feels the next he is like a stone wall. But Lucía I could read like an open book. She was bouncing up and down like a little kid Christmas morning. The realtor slowly took us through the house explaining its history and what stone tile the floor was or where the marble on the counter was made. I loved the house it was so beautiful and exactly what I imagined late at night in the basement where me and Antonio would start our family. My heart clenches at all the plans I had set for myself. Meeting Sergio was never one of them, I planned to be here with Antonio not him. But Antonio finally showed me his true colors and reflecting on how he treated me I finally starting to realize I deserved better than him.

"Lia?" I snapped out of my daze to find Sergio leaning over to level with me. His piercing eyes gazing into my soul like he could read me like an open book. I awkwardly coughed and straightened up.

"Y-yes?" I nervously replied to him trying not to look into his eyes. He examined my face as I awkwardly fidgeted with a strand of my hair.

"You spaced out there you okay?" I nodded slowly examining the room we were in. It was a beautiful bedroom with rustic wood floors and a beautiful tan wallpaper. It was only me and Sergio in the room. I loved the vibe of the house, it was a truly beautiful place.

"Do you like the house?" His deep voice snaps me out of it again and this time I make eye contact with him. His face is much more relaxed and soft than when we first got here. I smiled and nodded, I let my emotions flow free as I began explaining what I loved about this place. The I was caught off guard when I heard his deep throaty chuckle. His smile was so beautiful it was one that could light up a room. Ive known that Sergio was a very good looking guy but him just being him. I walked closer to him without even realizing it, it was like there was a magnetic pull for him. Like I needed to be closer to him. He wasn't laughing anymore but he was getting nervous at how close I was to him. Without realizing my hands sat on his chest as I looked dup into his eyes. His cheeks were now a rosy pink.

"Emilia!! Sergio!! Where'd you guys go??" I heard Lucía calling for us from outside so I quickly retreated back to my original position. I awkwardly looked at the ground as Lucía came into the room.

"There you guys are there's were ready to go look at the next house." Lucía said and I quickly escaped the awkward in the room.
