Emilia's POV

[PROMISE BY LAUFEY]

I looked up to see Sofia and my stepmom with Antonio.  My heart beat started to pick up as everyone at the table smiles turned into frowns.

"We're so glad to see you!" My mama said as she put a big smile on her face.

"We can finally tell you the good news! Sofia and her boyfriend Antonio are getting married!" She cheered in joy and that's when saw it. My heart sunk as I saw Sofía wrapped around Antonio's arm with a smirk plastered on her face. I try to keep myself together but I couldn't let myself break down in front of them.

"Excuse me." I say as I get up from the table and run to the bathroom. Once I get myself into a stall I let the tears finally pour from my face. How could they know about me and Antonio? But how could he do this? He knows what they've done to me and he goes and gets engaged to my sister.

I heard the bathroom door open and quickly wipe my tears from my face trying to regain my composure.

"Emilia." I heard Addie voice from the other side of the stall and I quickly swing the door open and hug her. I sobbed into her shoulder as she reconciled me. I know she probably has no idea what was going on except that's my family and Antonio was rude to me at the club but I needed this. I needed a shoulder to cry on.

"Please get me out of here." I sob into her shoulder and she says ok. As we make a start to the door it swings open to see Sofia. She laughs as she walks in.

"Crying in the bathroom pathetic." She says taking out her phone to check her makeup.

"What's pathetic is you dating your sisters ex." Addie snaps back and I looked at her confused. Sofia examined Addie sizing her up.

"Why would I feel offended by a nobody." Sofia scoffed rolling her eyes. Sofia crossed her arms with a smug look on her face thinking she won.

"A nobody who could probably buy all your family assets." Addie adds as she shoves past and shocked Sofia. As the door closed behind us a loud squeal came from the bathroom.

"This way." Addie says leading me through the back of the restaurant trying to avoid the paparazzi. When we reached out back there Sergio was standing with the car.

"Your sister in law is crazy." Addie says as we approached him. She lets out a soft chuckle. Addie turns to me and pushes a strand of my hair behind my ear.

"Don't listen to a thing she says you're a beautiful independent woman." Addie reassures me. I engulfed her in a hug. Antonio was the only friend I had but it feels nice having someone as a friend who understands me. As I pull back I nodded and she let me go.

"I'll see you two later." Addie says waving while walking to the front of the restaurant. Leaving me with Sergio.

"I'm sorry I ruined your celebratory dinner." I apologized hearing him let out a small chuckle. He turned to me taking my hand in his.

"You didn't ruin it at all." He smiles at me as my cheeks flush. I look away trying to avoid his eye contact. But he takes my chin forcing me to look at him. Then he lowers his head to meet mines. My heart starts racing at a million miles per hour as his cold minty breath fans against my hot skin.

"You're beautiful." He whispers in my ear as he plants a small kiss on my cheek.

"Gio." I softly whisper and hums in reply.

"I wan-"

SNAP!

I was cut off by the explosion of cameras taking pictures. Then came the sea of them rushing at us.

"Come on." Sergio says as he places me in the car and jumps in racing off. I sat in the passenger side thinking about all the event that just happened. But I decide to think about the one good memory. I smile as I look at Sergio's hand on the center console and contemplate holding it.

After my internal battle I decided to screw it and take the risk. I slowly wrap my hand in his. I could see Sergio's shocked reaction but he kept his attention on the road but he gave my hand a tight squeeze and never let go.

I sat on my bed looking at the notepad like it was my worst enemy. I was tasked with making my debut song but had no idea what to make the song about. I sighed falling back on my bed. I open my phone to look at the new headlines from last night.

They're was pictures of us in the alley behind the restaurant posted all over social media. I smile looking at one of the pictures of him kissing my cheek. Then I got an idea and instantly got up. I ran to his room and to surprise him I snuck into his room. I examined the room to see he was not there.

"Where is he?" I whisper to myself as I check the room twice. That's when the bathroom door opened and I saw him walk out. I screamed as I saw him walk out in nothing but a towel loosely wrapped around his hips. He looked at me confused and probably called out my name but I was focused. I was focused on how the water streamed down his chest to his abs to his happy trail then finally to his.

"Lia!?!" Him yelling at me finally snapped me out of it as I looked at him. My face turned red.

"I'm sorry!!" I exclaimed as I ran out of his room. I slammed the door shut immediately going back to mines. How stupid could I be to go in there without knocking? Every time I closed my eyes I saw his body.

"God he's so hot." Then that's when my first song idea came from.
