Lana's POV.

As I sat alone, replaying Jordan's words in my mind, I couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement. He wanted to meet, to talk. After all this time, after all my efforts, it seemed he was finally seeing things my way.

I watched from a hidden spot as he proposed to Luna, my heart twisted in a cocktail of anger and longing. Publicly declaring his love for her was a slap in the face, but this invitation to talk? It had to mean something. It had to mean he realized his mistake, that it was me he desired, not Luna.

The truth was, my feelings were complicated. Did I want them both? Absolutely. My heart ached for Jordan in a way that consumed me, while my obsession with Luna touched every other part of my life. Their happiness together was something I couldn't stand, yet couldn't look away from. But the thought that Jordan might actually want me, after everything, shifted the ground beneath me.

This was my moment, my chance to turn everything around. I knew it wouldn't be easy, and part of me hated how much power they both held over my emotions. Yet, the possibility of winning Jordan over, of somehow disrupting their perfect little world, gave me a sense of purpose. It was twisted, perhaps, but it was all I had.

As I prepared to meet Jordan, my mind raced with possibilities. This had to be a turning point. I would make him see that I was the one he should be with, not Luna. I would convince him, somehow. After all, if he truly understood, if he really saw me for who I am and all I could offer him, how could he choose her over me?

In that moment, my resolve hardened. Jordan asking to meet wasn't just a chance; it was a sign. A sign that he was finally ready to make the right choice. And I was going to make sure of it.

As Jordan approached, I could feel a mix of nerves and anticipation. I had meticulously chosen my outfit, aiming for a look that mirrored Luna's effortless style – a khaki mini skirt, a white crop top, and Converse. My hair was secured in a claw clip, emulating Luna's casual yet chic hairstyle.

Observing Jordan from a distance, I noted the changes in his appearance. His grown-out hair complemented a well-kept goatee, and he wore an all-black Nike Tech sweatsuit that accentuated his casual yet stylish vibe. His baseball cap and glasses added to the ensemble.

Our eyes met as he spotted me, and he made his way toward me with a neutral expression. My heart raced, and I couldn't shake the feeling that this meeting was crucial – a turning point that could reshape everything.

And I mean, everything.

As Jordan approached, the tension in the air was palpable. I kept my demeanor cool, masking the storm of emotions within. We stood there, exchanging glances, each moment stretching in anticipation.

"Hey," Jordan greeted, his tone neutral. "Thanks for meeting."

I nodded, feigning casualness. "Sure, what did you want to talk about?"

He took a moment before speaking. "Look, Lana, I need to be clear. The engagement with Luna is real. We're getting married. I wanted to ensure you understand that."

I blinked, absorbing his words, a mix of disappointment and frustration bubbling within. "But... you wanted to talk. What does this mean?"

Jordan sighed, "I wanted to set things straight. Thought it was best if you heard it from me. Stop threatening her. Stop sending shit to our house. Everything needs to stop! Do you understand?"

My heart sank, realization dawning. This meeting wasn't the turning point I had hoped for. It was a painful confirmation of the reality I desperately wanted to deny.

Tears welled up in my eyes, and frustration coursed through me. "You led me on! You made it seem like there was a chance, and now you're just telling me it's over?"
